Perfect for a quick stay, nothing fancy, literally just to sleep in and location is really great for the price point and included amenities are plenty, it’s just a dorm room tho

They charge you $4 per piece of luggage to store it, which is something no other hotel does. The room rate is over 700 RMB, sometimes even over 1000, so why nickel and dime guests for an extra $4? The room itself is old and in poor condition, and there's nothing in it. For two people, there's just one small table and one small chair, so one person has to stand while the other sits. You can't even sit on the bed because the bunk bed is too low and you hit your head. The bed creaks like it's about to fall apart every time you move, and I was worried the rail would break when climbing to the top bunk. There was no room cleaning service during my stay either. It felt like a migrant worker dormitory that costs 30-50 RMB a night in China. I've stayed in hostels in tourist areas in Canada and Japan, and their conditions were a hundred times better and cost less than half the price. Even if it's expensive in downtown New York City, there's no need for it to be this bad...

The hotel's biggest advantage is its excellent location, right next to Central Park, within walking distance to the subway and Columbus Circle, making travel incredibly convenient. The rooms are basically clean, with simple, sufficient facilities, suitable for budget-conscious travelers. However, the soundproofing is a major issue: you can hear everything from the adjacent rooms, and I was frequently woken up at night by loud talking and slamming doors, making it almost impossible to get proper rest. I reported this to the front desk multiple times during my stay, but the problem never improved. I also filed a complaint through the booking platform, but received no response or follow-up whatsoever – customer service was virtually non-existent. The common areas and bathroom facilities are a bit old, and the cleanliness in some areas was just average. Overall, it's only suitable for backpackers who prioritize location over sleep quality. Travelers who value quietness and good service should definitely look elsewhere.

Its cheap and exactly what i wanted. Someone else described it as having prison vibes and i agree but i don’t mind. Cheap and an amazing location

me and my friend booked a twin bunk room at $110 per night, the cleanliness of the room was awful every corner was full of dirt, the bunk bed was placed so close to the walls it was impossible to use the ladders. the room was cold and only provided a thin blanket, the shared bathrooms had little to no privacy with tinted glass showers placed directly behind sinks with mirrors. the entire building felt incredibly out dated and looked more like a prison than a hostel, i have stayed in many budget hotels and hostels in the central parts of capital cities and this cost me well over 3x more than i’ve ever spent with awful conditions, the location is ok but absolutely doesn’t justify the price

The deluxe single room has a nice interior, equipped with a fridge and a safe. Although the bathroom is shared, it's a private unit that requires a key card to access. Being on the top floor, the view is quite good.

The hotel is conveniently located near Times Square with easy subway access, which is a huge plus. The hotel pool is nice, and there's a gym. Our deluxe single room, though small, had everything we needed. Overall, we were very satisfied.

I came to NYC alone to boost my English motivation before starting a new job in April. I chose the YMCA not for a "vacation," but for a mental toughness mission. 1. The 2:00 AM Welcome After struggling with the subway and my limited English, I arrived at 2:00 AM. The lady at the front was clearly annoyed to see me, but hey—I survived the check-in! 2. Room & Survival Tips The room is extremely basic and dry. I had to soak towels and hang them up just to breathe! • The Shared Showers: Flip-flops are a MUST. It’s eerily silent and a bit spooky. The awkward silence when you bump into someone is the ultimate test for a non-English speaker. I even spotted a few cockroaches, but I came prepared with a fly swatter! 3. The Bright Side It’s not all bad! You can refill water at the 4th-floor gym, and the location is unbeatable—right next to Central Park. But honestly, I feel like a true New Yorker now. My spirit is unbreakable. I’ll be back next year to test my English skills after a year of hard work. ...And when I do, I am DEFINITELY staying at a different hotel! LOL Thank you, YMCA, for making me stronger. See you soon, NYC!

A worst hotel with worst management. Our flight got delayed and I informed them instantly with the proof, I thrice requested for cancellation but they didn’t cancelled my booking and perhaps gave it to someone else and earned money from the same room twice. Shameful
