Reviews of Truss Hotel Times Square

If you're seeing reviews for this hotel, it's definitely because of its proximity to Times Square, which is a big plus. You can walk there in less than 5 minutes. Because of some hotel reviews, I specifically paid attention to the front desk. Contrary to what some reviews said, the staff here politely ask anyone entering the hotel for their room key or offer a greeting, which is a good security measure. I also didn't encounter any homeless people lingering around the hotel entrance. The room itself is surprisingly spacious for this area and price point. While it's definitely smaller than what you might find in China, it's significantly larger than many other hotels in this same neighborhood.

The hotel is a bit far from the subway station, but there are plenty of restaurants nearby, which is convenient. However, I only received one bottle of water during my stay. I asked the front desk for more, but they just kept saying it was on its way, so I ended up buying my own.

Although it is walking distance to and from times square, I would avoid staying in this neighborhood. On the map, it looks close to the Chelsea area but its actually in Hell’s Kitchen, which is poor and dirty. There were homeless people right outside of the hotel and there isn’t security in Truss Hotel. At night, there is only one receptionist on duty, the entrance is not locked and anybody is able to enter and access the elevator without a hotel key. I did not feel safe staying in Truss Hotel. Cleanliness was acceptable, you can tell it was probably renovated within the past ten years. It is understaffed and they are not flexible at all regarding early or late check ins/outs. I would rather splurge more next time on a hotel with better security measures.

The hotel is very centrally located, everything is easily accessible on foot, so that you can reach 80% of New York's sights on foot.

The room is clean and the price is pretty good for cheap accommodation in the city center! The seats are convenient, and there are parking lots nearby, but they need to be charged! The attractions are all nearby.

A hotel with high cost performance. Jessica's service is very good. The location is also OK. I stayed for three nights. It was very good.

The room itself was very spacious and nice. It was on the third floor, but I couldn't open the curtains much because they were visible from the road lol. The shower room was partially covered with a curtain, so you need to be careful not to let water leak out. It cost $4 to store luggage outside of business hours. However, I didn't have any complaints or inconveniences that were particularly bothersome! The location was also convenient, within walking distance of downtown, the station, and the bus terminal.

The 10 day stay at this hotel was really comfortable. The room was really big for the typical size of NYC, the staff was very kind. Even though the hotel is not brand new I would gladly go back.

A great hotel in the center of New York City, with good value for money, a gym, very convenient, convenient transportation, many supermarkets and food around, and a great location.
