After making us wait to “check” the room, it was handed over as ready but was in an appalling state: dirty sheets, a pillowcase with a sweat stain and hair, crumbs on the floor, long black hair in the bathtub, and broken furniture. We were so shocked that we had to book another hotel and lost the money. I didn’t even take photos, I was too stunned by how filthy it was. Cleanliness and hygiene should be a basic standard, no matter how many stars a hotel has. Absolutely to avoid.

I booked a "Double Queen Suite" on Priceline and checked in very late after working all day in the over 100-degree summer heat. When I arrived around 1:00am, the front desk attendant led me to a dingy little room literally off the lobby, with a set of bunk beds, a small bathroom, and a desk fan that barely did anything. If there was air conditioning, it was hardly functioning. The room was bare, hadn’t been swept, and had zero amenities, let alone any of the amenities explained in the listing. I immediately told the guy at the front desk this wasn’t what I booked. He claimed there was a “major plumbing issue” and that’s why I had to stay there. At nearly 1:30am, exhausted, I just accepted it. Thankfully, nobody was in the other bunk, because I purposefully booked this hotel to not have to share a room or anything. After looking into it, I saw other reviews mentioning the same “plumbing issue” excuse. It’s clearly a pattern they use to scam guests by either downgrading them or completely canceling their stay. I’m convinced the photos online are either stock images or heavily edited, because I don't believe rooms of that quality would be in this hotel. I received no compensation, apology, or even an offer of a discount despite paying for a much nicer room. If I had wanted something this basic, I would have paid less money and stayed in a hostel. That probably would have been a lot better. Don't be scammed by this hotel! It's not worth it.

We booked a double room at this hotel months in advance for our trip to New York. Before flying, we even called to confirm our reservation, and they reassured us everything was fine, only mentioning a so-called “plumbing issue.” After doing some research, we later discovered that this “plumbing issue” is a common excuse they use frequently – many other reviews mention the exact same thing. After a 9-hour flight, we arrived at the hotel exhausted, only to be told that our reservation had been cancelled without warning. Instead of offering a proper solution, they suggested we spend four nights at a completely different hotel near JFK Airport (far from the city center) and only the last two nights at the hotel we originally booked. This was unacceptable, so we refused and requested a full refund. Initially, they told us the refund would be processed. But shortly after, they canceled the refund, and now they pretend we were never even there. We spoke with a staff member named Vanessa multiple times by phone — and now she acts like she has no idea who we are. We have proof of everything: calls, emails, and the fact that we physically went to the hotel and spoke with two staff members, including the manager. Luckily, we found a much better hotel after this disaster — but the way this place operates is absolutely unprofessional and dishonest. Avoid this hotel at all costs. They treat people with no respect, and it seems they have pulled this scam on several other guests as well. We’ve contacted our bank and are taking legal action. If you care about your time, money, and peace of mind, do not book this hotel. Total scam.

This hotel is managed by a bunch of rare looking swindlers refugees overselling rooms and fighting people all the time. From the very first moment you are there, you can feel the bad vibes from the ridiculous staff, and then the nightmare begins.

Great location, easy access to airport. Don't let the "Times Square" in the name fool you, this is definitely in Hells Kitchen on a nice tree lined section of W 46th. Much better than the hotels actually in Times Square. For a NYC hotel it had great space and an updated, but old school neighborhood hotel feel. Love the keypads to check-in and no cards to carry or checkout with. Will stay again soon.

Just what I needed for a quick overnight business trip. Great location right by restaurant row in the theater district & jogging distance from Central Park. The place was very quiet and well maintained & my room was clean and spacious. I only saw people once. Will definitely stay here again next time I’m in the city, especially since it’s more affordable than the local hotels that don’t offer anything else that I even care about when I’m in the city.

Small but very nice and clean hotel. Great location. I recommend to anyone that wants to stay in a cool NYC place and it’s not interested in all the frills. Located in the heart of midtown close to Times Square and Broadway, Kasa is the perfect place when you visit NYC.

I was little worried and more so when the front door didn’t open, I missed the ‘#’ so tried again perhaps 5th time and it worked. I entered inside and it was well organized and easy to reach my room, same protocol to open my room door and this time it was ‘v’ instead of ‘#’. The place was simple and efficient, I loved the pillow, I slept well and it was cake walk for next three nights. It was predictable and simple, I might have met one person in Kasa during my trip. It was a business trip and my fav for NY going fwd.
