We booked a double room at this hotel months in advance for our trip to New York. Before flying, we even called to confirm our reservation, and they reassured us everything was fine, only mentioning a so-called “plumbing issue.” After doing some research, we later discovered that this “plumbing issue” is a common excuse they use frequently – many other reviews mention the exact same thing. After a 9-hour flight, we arrived at the hotel exhausted, only to be told that our reservation had been cancelled without warning. Instead of offering a proper solution, they suggested we spend four nights at a completely different hotel near JFK Airport (far from the city center) and only the last two nights at the hotel we originally booked. This was unacceptable, so we refused and requested a full refund. Initially, they told us the refund would be processed. But shortly after, they canceled the refund, and now they pretend we were never even there. We spoke with a staff member named Vanessa multiple times by phone — and now she acts like she has no idea who we are. We have proof of everything: calls, emails, and the fact that we physically went to the hotel and spoke with two staff members, including the manager. Luckily, we found a much better hotel after this disaster — but the way this place operates is absolutely unprofessional and dishonest. Avoid this hotel at all costs. They treat people with no respect, and it seems they have pulled this scam on several other guests as well. We’ve contacted our bank and are taking legal action. If you care about your time, money, and peace of mind, do not book this hotel. Total scam.
