Sonder’s staffs are generally well trained and so kind. Among them, general manager, Ben is one of a kind man. He is so responsible and quick to response to anything you asked for. He is the man. Location is also the best one in town. Housekeeping and facilities are little bit below expectations, however, hotel would satisfy all the visitors.

I can speak with confidence. I stayed here for over 20 days and read all the negative reviews, but I found it quite good. The location is excellent, within walking distance of Times Square, the Empire State Building, Vanderbilt University, the library, and churches. It's also near the Flatiron Building and Madison Square. It's very convenient for dining, with excellent international restaurants. Numerous subway lines are nearby. Check-in is self-service. Download the hotel group's app, upload your passport for facial recognition, and you'll be given your room code. You'll also pay your deposit there, which was quickly refunded. The hotel is cleaned daily, and the sanitation is generally acceptable. There's also 24-hour security. The only downside is that the rooms are small, which is understandable in a place like Times Square where every inch of land is expensive. It's quite expensive, averaging over 3,000 yuan per night for my 20-day stay. There's a restaurant right outside the hotel with a line every day, which is worth trying. It's very authentic Western food, and there are performances every night. Luggage storage is free, but you must pick it up by 11 PM the same day. There's no front desk, so email us to discuss this.

This is a perfect NYC hotel. This is the first hotel I’ve stayed at that has an electric tea kettle. It also has a good wine opener, the heavy waiter style. In addition, it has a quality hair dyer, mini fridge and iron. All of these elements are what are important to me as a traveler. The location near the Flat Iron building was so central and easy to hop on the subway. So many nearby dining options. It’s a very quick walk to Eataly where I grabbed quick yogurt parfaits for breakfast and great pasta at their bars for dinner. Check in is at 4pm. I arrived at 3:00, and they gave me no hassle checking in early. Using a code for room entry was nice as well, not having to mess with key cards was a plus.

OMG, stay away! They have no one on site and in case you need any help, you need to deal with a virtual assistant on chat that can't do anything. There was a noisy room with loud music and screaming all night, and they did nothing! What would happen in case of emergency? For your safety, don't stay here.

Do NOT be fooled by the images on Trip Advisor. This hotel is dingy, filthy, depressing, noisy and is one to avoid. There are two good things about Henri on 24; the restaurant beneath it is fantastic (great food, reasonable prices and great drinks) and the front desk staff are really lovely (shoutout to Justin and Ben). The front desk staff I interacted knew how bad it was but did their best with a smile. My room was so noisy I had to turn off air con and it was September in NY city so it was hot. Not only did I have to turn it off to sleep I had to wear ear plugs, put on a podcast and take a sleeping pill. It was horrendous. The rooms are dirty and dark. For reasons only known to management they covered the only window with plastic and tape. The is no reason for this given their were blinds you could pull? The room was so dark you had to go around every lamp and light and turn them on to see yourself in the mirror. I was in town for fashion related business so travel with probably fractionally more clothes than most and the wardrobe was tiny and narrow so everything had to be slanted. it also hadn't been cleaned for what felt like decades. No one cleans the rooms unless you ask them too. No rubbish cleared, no fresh towels ... and you need towels to mop up the shower leaks. The elevator has issues and because I don't like confined spaces I used the stairs. I'm glad I did given the reports of the elevators stopping. Honestly, I usually stay at a place around the corner but it was booked due to UN General Assembly and this was the nearest option. Huge mistake. Never again. Grotty and depressing. I was stuck in a nightmare for 10 days and nights. 10/10 for the front desk staff but 0/10 for the hotel. Nothing like the images here.

Basic...more like lacking. I know New York is very expensive, but I felt really let down for my $550 and the room we got at this hotel. To start, it's bare bones, cheap, and cramped for two people. Again, it's New York so I expected small. Anyway, the little bath towels were really thin, the not very effective shades had the base broken off, there was painters tape outlining the window, etc. The door slam shut and since there's no carpeting, it's VERY loud. Our very inconsiderate neighbor let it do that about 10 times around 11pm, I suppose as they were busy with their own selfish existence. Of course, there's no front desk staff to help with it. So, lesson learned about this form of a "hotel."

Great location, great concept, room is huge for Manhattan. While not owned by Sonder or Marriott, the restaurant and rooftop bar are fantastic. But what should be a 5 star review is 3 at best. Housekeeping is atrocious. I stayed for two weeks and had a moldy toilet by the end of the stay. I reported this in the app and at the front desk, and it never got cleaned. I had to ask for a broom to sweep my room and instead of getting the hint to properly clean my room, they brought me the broom. It was a fight to get towels. I was told they were having trouble finding clean towels to bring me and yet when the elevator stopped at a floor before mine, there was a cart loaded down with towels. The housekeeper would have given me as many as I wanted. Marriott and Sonder have finally worked out the free late check out for Ambassador level in the app, but they have not worked out the TV and internet access for a late check out and I was once again logged out at 11 AM for a 3 PM check out with meetings all day. I am really rooting for Sonder to succeed and be great under Marriott, but I am so far underwhelmed or disappointed.

First the positive - a/c was cold and reliable. That’s it. Never staying here again. Very poor value for the rates. No lobby, cleaning crew gave us 1 towel for two people l and no coffee cups. Worst was the elevator - only two of them and mostly out for 2 of the 3 days we were here. Tiny rooms and tv was streaming only and required constant logins.

Longtime Sonder guest—this experience was inexcusable. I regularly use Sonder when traveling—especially in Chicago—and have never had an issue. But my stay at Sonder | The Henri on 24 in Chelsea (NYC) was deeply disappointing and genuinely unsafe. I woke at 4:30 AM to find the entire floor of my room wet. Not damp. Wet. There was no leak from above or appliances—just condensation across every inch of flooring, enough to soak through socks and pose a serious slip hazard. I contacted Sonder through their app. The response: “I reached out to onsite security to see if they can provide towels. I just checked the property and unfortunately there isn’t anyone on site until 7am nor are there any other rooms available.” No escalation. No alternative. No human contact until morning. And let’s be clear—this is not a sudden, one-time problem. Condensation like this doesn’t form out of nowhere. The room was set to 68°F when I arrived, clearly to suppress a known humidity issue. When I adjusted it to a normal 73°F, moisture appeared almost immediately. Turning it back to 68°F slowed it—but that’s not a solution. That’s a cover-up. This isn’t just about discomfort—it’s about health, safety, and basic accountability. Sonder’s tech-based model offers no real-time support when something goes wrong. In this case, I was left alone in a flooded room with no help for hours. I’ve trusted Sonder for years. But this experience was inexcusable—and needs to be addressed at the operational level.

I am deeply disappointed with my recent stay at your property. I had expected a comfortable and professional experience, but unfortunately, what I encountered fell far short of even basic hospitality standards. The room itself was small and poorly appointed. There was no dresser or appropriate space to store clothes, which made an extended stay highly inconvenient. More troubling was the overall cleanliness: the room had clearly not been swept or vacuumed prior to our arrival. The bathroom sink was clogged and drained so slowly it was barely usable. There were also several issues that impacted safety and comfort. Most concerning, the room had no telephone. In case of an emergency, there was no direct way to contact the front desk or emergency services. Additionally, we were unable to access local news on the television—it continually prompted us to sign in to Roku, which we found frustrating and unnecessarily complicated. The cleaning staff left used bedding and towels piled in the stairwell, which was not only unsightly but unhygienic. They also spoke no English, which made even simple communication very difficult. The beds were extremely soft and offered no support, which was physically uncomfortable and detrimental to my back. Adding to our frustration, all locks are electronic, and no physical key provided. This made entering and exiting unnecessarily difficult, especially when technology didn’t cooperate. On top of all this, garbage was left sitting in front of the hotel entrance—unsightly and completely unacceptable. The air conditioning system shut off overnight, making the room stuffy and uncomfortable during sleep. We made several attempts to contact the hotel by email and social media. not one response If you don't mind a Hostel, this may be your place but i would avoid it like the plague. Overall, I give this property and its operations a poor grade.

Saying the photos online misrepresent the actual hotel is a gross understatement. This hotel was one of the dirtiest I've ever been in—if not the dirtiest. Stains all over the bathroom floor. Hair everywhere. Dust everywhere. It took them until day 3 to properly clean my room. They came back on day 2 to re-clean after I told them the floors were disgusting and nothing was dusted. After that cleaning, the floors were untouched and nothing was dusted. Finally, they cleaned on the third day and paid attention to the floors and dusting, but that is wildly unacceptable. I’d also like to mention that I called after the first additional cleaning, but they’d gone home for the night, and there was no room available for me to move to. Unacceptable. I will say, the staff was so incredibly nice, but cleanliness is number 1 for me when staying in a hotel, and that is such a basic need. Fast forward to now, I was told I could get a partial refund, and I have been ghosted by the hotel. I have reached out at least ten times, and get "we will get back with you soon" as a response. I ended up doing a chargeback on my credit card.

I needed a no-frills hotel for a few meetings in Manhattan. This is a "limited offering" hotel, yes, but I didn't miss anything that was "limited." - The rooms are very small, but the bed was large and decently comfortable. - The bathroom/shower are generous in size. - No gym, but free access to a nearby gym, which is ultimately better than using a cramped hotel gym There's some hallway and street noise, as with every other hotel in NYC. My room opened into the alley and I had very little street noise. I really appreciated the zero-touch check-in. Upload your DL and CC ahead of time, get a keycode 24 hours before, walk right into your room. Way better than having to wait in line or deal with a front desk. I'm docking one star because it's impossible to get a receipt for my stay; the links in their email don't work, and customer service has tried to send me a receipt without success. That's weird, and it speaks to the one downside of this model... customer service is entirely email/app based. But I'm sure it's fine for most stays.

Sonder Henri is in a great location and is close to a subway stop which makes it easy to get around the city. Our room was on the second floor but was extremely quiet at night and we slept well. The room was small and basic but this was expected. The air con unit was noisy in the room but it was our choice to have this on so it was not an issue. Check in via the app was straightforward and we had no issues accessing the room via the app as our key. We didn’t interact with any of the staff other than on our last day for support with an issue we had at check out. The receptionist was not overly helpful which led me to need to reach out to customer service for further support - this was the only negative from our stay. We would stay here again.

Small rooms, misleading image on the website representing your room. It’s got no safe to store valuables, no stirrer to stir your coffee, blackout curtains are not fully effective, very noise air conditioning! Our room was not cleaned for 4 days consecutively - is it an Airbnb charging hotel prices? Its the poorest hotel I have stayed in NYC at the highest prices I have paid - never recommend the Sonder brand again! Its like a ultra low cost airline where ypu really get very little and your happy to leave! The ONLY positive was its location!

We picked this hotel for the location and wow was it a great choice! I had no knowledge of Sonder prior to this trip and will be staying at the other properties whenever I can. The room was spacious, everything was extremely clean, and I loved how quiet it was. The only noise we had was 1-2 nights there may have been an event (or maybe the rooftop bar was just open for normal hours) but it was that loud and we were 2 floors below it. The staff in the lobby was always greeting us as we entered and left throughout the day and the secure as friendly too! We didn’t have any issues and when we asked for extra towels they brought them up right away. The little cabinet in the lobby with things you may need through your stay (toilet paper, soap, coffee pods, etc) was really helpful along with the water refill station!
