Only one elevator. Rooms were small. Hallways and elevator was small also. Could not get down certain areas with wheel chair. 5 people in elevator was a tight fit. Breakfast was mediocre. Some items good some needed improvement. Overall would not recommend unless your a bit desperate.

We arrived after a lengthy trip at 1:30 am and first impressions were not that great as we viewed the welcoming light from the Hilton Garden City Hotel next door and The Herald had a dark entrance with little lighting. When we entered the hotel, the lobby wasn't particularly welcoming with a fellow in a T shirt sitting behind the registration desk. He was very nice but the setting was not all that professional with a number of items on shelves, etc. The hotel was more than able to provide us with a request for a quiet room higher in the building - we were on the top floor in a corner suite with FOUR windows. The room was cool in temperature which was very welcoming. The room had quite a bit of space but only two very small drawers for clothes. It was nice to have a safe, fridge, and fairly large metal counter/desk. The bathroom was good with lots of hot water on demand and a welcomed long narrow counter to put toiletries on. The service staff were pleasant but we didn't know what we would receive from them each day - different number of towels, sometimes more shampoo, etc., sometimes none at all. We would encourage them to have more than one bottle opener which was kept at the front desk and you had to take your bottle down to them to get it opened. The best part was the very comfortable bed and pillows, soft but supportive which meant we slept very well. I would like to know what the brand of the mattress because I would get one, it was so comfortable. The location is very good albeit a bit noisy being on the corner of two busy streets and all the damn tourists (that includes us). Subway station was very convenient being just outside the front entrance. There is a club on top of the building so we were just below and on the weekend the music was quite loud but it stopped at about 11:30 pm so that was good.

I booked at Nap York Central park in June 2022 for September/October 2022. I chose the discounted flexible rate, as I didn’t see having to cancel or move my dates at all - my flight was paid for. Earlier this month my father suffered a stroke, was diagnosed with cancer, and was told he was in need of an operation on his heart. His quality of living went from active and healthy to in need of 24/7 care overnight. I contacted this property to see if even though the flexible option was non-refundable if there might be some leniency with this as I don’t see being able to travel in the near future, even at a partial refund (mostly for the $500 I already paid to be used for medical bills/needs). You cannot actually call or speak to anyone - they do not have phones. You can only communicate through a chat service. They don’t provide any details as to who you are talking to and my questions as to whether there is a management company I might reach out to were unanswered, and then I was just told ‘we don’t have phones’. After explaining my situation, they let me know they would not refund anything but would move the dates. According to my original booking, I would have six months to reschedule. Speaking to someone through the chat service, I was only given four months to reschedule and many dates blocked out and unavailable to me due to holidays. I pointed out that it was less time than my original booking stated and that went unaddressed, the person let me know that ‘my situation’ (my father possibly terminally ill) ‘was not their responsibility’ and they wouldn’t refund my payment or add any dates (which really would have just been giving me what I should have anyway, not exactly doing me any extra favors) and again - all questions as to whether there is an actual number or company to contact with questions was not provided. While I understand my original request for a refund was outside of the original terms, they don’t even offer the terms that are paid for and clearly stated. I’ve also worked at hotels and lodges in the past to know that they often make allowances for nonrefundable stays in cases of extreme circumstances. Booking.com reached out to try to negotiate and the only response they received was ‘no refund’. I’ve also had travel plans in the past change slightly and have been out money and have not asked for special accommodations or refunds from locations, but with the stress of my father’s health and rising costs, and so suddenly, I was looking for some empathy here. United Airlines is notorious for delayed customer service or non-negotiable refunds and I was able to explain my situation and received a full refund immediately. After some of the language used by whoever manages their chat service, I wouldn’t stay at this location at this point. I've attached some of the reviews on google, as well as management's insane responses (including taunting people about calling the police, or pointing out they don't speak English).

Take Newark Airport Express for $ 18 from Newark Airport for 40 minutes, get off at Bryant Park Station and walk for 5 minutes to the hotel. I ’m a short-term business travel, so I value these five points: (1) The location of the hotel is very close to the exhibition I am going to, a 15-minute walk, (2) the price is cheap, (3) clean, (4) there are Breakfast, (5) 24-hour front desk service. Bed linen and other items are changed every day, even if I did not request it. Although it is a public toilet, it is right next door and clean. Breakfast is typical American: instant coffee, instant cocoa, tea, bread (cheese, jam), biscuits, fruits (banana, apple). I travel a lot so I can adapt to it. Some Chinese people may not be used to it. 5-15 minutes walk from the hotel can reach the nearby famous New York landmarks, such as: New York Library, Times Square, Javits Center, Empire State Building, Penn Station, Metropolitan Museum and so on. Overall, the price is very good, if the budget is low, it is recommended to try this hotel. The only regret is that my room is on the second floor, near the road, and it is lively at night. My next business trip to New York may still consider this hotel. If you are traveling with your family, the hotel also has a four-bed room, and the bathroom is for exclusive use. Consumption in New York is very expensive. For example, steak dinner in New York costs $ 200 for two people and New Jersey only costs $ 50.

We recently stayed and occupied 2 rooms. We initially could not work out why our feet were black and full of human hair when we got in shower. The carpet is filthy. Requested the room to be vacuumed. No chance simply not done. I even said I would vacuum. Just put extra towels on the floor. It keeps your feet clean when you get into bed. It is a shame as the hotel is in a great location close to Times Square and theatres. Don’t stay in the rooms near the lifts. You hear the lifts going up and Down Whoosh !!! Very hot weather and the air conditioner made a lot of noise but did not cool the room . The lift lobbies carpet had not been vacuumed. I have travelled extensively all over the world and I must say this hotel would have been acceptable except for the filthy carpet. In a post Covid world it was not acceptable. The kitchenette was good but meals are so cheap you don’t need to cook.

Mediocre hotel. Small rooms (good for a couple NOT (repeat) not for families. The worst breakfast you can find in any MARIOT hotel (and I have been in more than 20). At least the nice worker in the dining room helps with whatever she can. Other than that 7 minutes walk from F line. Close to the Brooklyn bridge. Stinky elevator due to the Chinese restaurant in the lower floor (no connection tot he hotel can't get it why they cannot solve it). Bottom line for the that price (250~ night) I would not stay there again!!!
