Holiday Inn Express New York City Chelsea, an IHG Hotel

Chelsea New York|1.09km from The Aspen Institute
Must talk about it. Hotel location, service and hygiene, not to mention, anyway, generally pass. The breakfast was really good, things were basically the same every day, and I was tired for six days. By the way, breakfast is free to eat, no matter your room rate includes breakfast, just go down to the first floor to eat, no one cares, no breakfast coupons. What I want to say this time is that the hotel's checkout will not be refunded if you charge more! It was a very irresponsible and unreasonable hotel. Later, under the coordination of Ctrip, a part was returned, and Ctrip helped me to pay the rest. Thanks for Ctrip's support! The hotel received $ 162.76, but in the end it charged me $ 413.41, more than $ 250! The pre-authorization at check-in was only $ 187.76, and the front desk had no objection to the pre-authorization account at check-out. The remaining part was charged without my knowledge after leaving. What is the difference between stealing and stealing? And they are all received by mistake, and some fees are repeatedly collected. Later, with the help and coordination of Ctrip, the hotel promised to refund some of the fees that were repeatedly charged, and the overcharge of the front desk staff caused by their own mistakes was 125 dollars, and it was not refundable! Totally rogue behavior! In the end, Ctrip advanced the 125 US dollars equivalent to RMB and returned it to me. Thanks again for Ctrip's support! Once again, please pay attention to the hotel bill when you check out, including after leaving. Here's the thing. When I checked in, a man at the front desk (later known as Richard) told me that if the twin room was a total of $ 25, I changed the twin bed. Credit card pre-authorization at check-in

I booked the suite room and it was located on the 17th floor. The room was spacious. The carpet was dirty and sticky but I wore flip flops. The bedsheets smelled weird but I didn’t pay much mind to it, assuming that it might’ve just been the laundry detergent they used. Their was something wrong with the pipe in the bathroom toilet, causing the toilet to not flush properly, and ultimately their was a leak in the toilet causing water to go all over the bathroom floors. I called the front desk and someone came and fixed it; along with cleaning the bathroom floors, but the flush was still an issue and wasn’t working properly throughout my stay. Housekeeping and room service is nonexistent. If you want your room cleaned you have to call the front desk. Not enough toilet paper or towels in the rooms, even in the suites. After leaving the hotel, I noticed my entire upper arm was covered in red bumps! I was appalled, and confused as to what may have caused this. Then today I checked the reviews for this hotel and a woman had left a review of the same thing happening to her after leaving this hotel. (She had also stayed in a suite, but on the 16th floor) I went to the doctor and he said that it could just be eczema but not sure; I’m guessing it might not be that, considering that this happened to another woman who stayed in a suite room at this hotel too. This lead me to believe that they either do not wash their sheets, or it’s the detergent they used that may have caused an allergic reaction. So far I haven’t seen any reviews of this happening to people that stayed in any of the other rooms, only the ones that stayed in the suites; so it can’t be the detergent, assuming they use the same detergent for all their rooms. Like I said, the bedsheets did smell very weird and gross. Unbelievable, unhygienic, and unacceptable. Do not stay here!!! The only good thing about this place was the friendly staff at the front desk, the views, and the location. Other than that, it’s very unhygienic and unkept. I also never received the breakfast voucher each person is supposed to get when they stay. No concierge or doorman either! Terrible stay. You can stay at a much better, CLEANER hotel in New York.

Very compact small hotel, the room is OK, relatively clean, the general Chinese travel more, the Empire State Building or Times Square in the surrounding area are relatively close, the location is good.

This hotel is in a great location in Manhattan - close to Penn station and a host of subway stations. So much of Manhattan is within walking distance from this hotel! The staff was always friendly and helpful, even though the hotel was clearly very busy. Our room was actually surprisingly spacious for Manhattan standards. Yes, this is not the Plaza, but I found our room to be larger than many Manhattan hotels I have stayed at in the past. Our bed was very comfortable, the A/C worked well, and our room was very quiet. The bathroom was nice and again, large enough to not have to do acrobatics when using the toilet. The shower was large as well and we had great water pressure. The room was overall in very good condition and looked nice. The staff was always friendly, professional and helpful and never seemed rushed or stressed out, even though this hotel was obviously very busy and there were always people in the lobby. I can only recommend this hotel for anyone who is looking for a clean and quiet room in Manhattan.

Park South is a real gem of a hotel. Absolutely amazing staff at every level who can't do enough for you. Spacious clean rooms with comfortable beds. Air con noisy but I've never stayed anywhere that has quiet AC. Incredible onsite restaurants one serving a great range of food including wood fired pizzas. Also a very trendy sushi & cocktail bar with excellent dishes. Fantastic location for exploring Manhattan's midtown. Highly recommended.

Landed in JFK pretty late but check in around midnight was smooth. There was no doorman at the entrance so I had to carry a huge luggage up the stairs to the hotel lobby to check in. The hotel room was tiny and had barely the space to keep my luggage but the room itself was clean and had everything I needed for a short stay. Checking out was equally smooth and quick as checking in. Overall it was a pretty good short stay for a pretty jet lagged traveler.
