It's also very close to Ba Shi Seafood Market and the pier, making travel a breeze. There's even an underground parking lot available. 2. **Decor Style:** The B&B is quite new. While its exterior showcases Xiamen Zhongshan Road's typical arcade (Qilou) architecture, the interior boasts a charming Nanyang retro style, which I personally loved. 3. **Service:** The staff were all incredibly helpful and attentive. Here are two examples: First, on our initial night, my daughter likely set the AC too low, resulting in a low fever, headache, and chills in the early hours. I asked if they could prepare a traditional remedy: a warm drink with scallion whites, ginger, and red dates. To my surprise, they actually prepared it exactly as I requested! After she drank it, she broke a sweat, and her fever quickly receded. We almost thought our vacation was going to be cut short! The second incident occurred on the morning of our departure: my daughter left her bracelet on the breakfast table. We only realized it after we had already left, so we went back and asked the front desk for assistance. They managed to find it for us. The staff's service was truly exceptional; they were responsive to every request and always went the extra mile. 4. **Breakfast:** While the B&B's breakfast might not compete with a large star-rated hotel, it's generally quite good and offers a decent spread. They cover all the bases, providing a variety of options like Mianxian paste (vermicelli soup), sweet potato porridge, mung bean soup, white fungus soup, soy milk, milk, bread, stir-fried dishes, fried snacks, steamed dim sum, eggs, assorted grains, and fresh fruits. For children, those under 1.2m eat for free, those between 1.2m and 1.4m get half price, and children 1.4m and taller pay full price. 5. The hotel corridors feature unique devices holding tea leaves. I'm not sure if their purpose is mosquito repellent, but it's the first time I've ever encountered such a thing. It struck me as a distinctive local touch, and a rather thoughtful one at that. **PS:** For this B&B, I highly recommend choosing a room with either a terrace or an external balcony. Many rooms have balconies that face an internal atrium or courtyard, which isn't as appealing. I personally saw the difference and decided to upgrade my room on the spot."

I picked up a drink from the lobby bar; there was no sign indicating if it was exclusively for in-house guests. As I was about to open it, two female staff members rushed over and snatched the drink from me as if I were stealing money, leaving a puddle of water behind. I feel my review is quite objective. The hotel itself is new. However, this is the first time I've witnessed a five-star hotel behaving in such a manner over a drink worth only 3 RMB. I'm quite speechless. I hope you either clarify your policies or provide more comprehensive training for your staff."

Richard immediately came over with a smile and offered to help, saying, 'Let me take that for you, it looks like a heavy one!' When he learned I was in town for an exhibition, he thoughtfully prepared a local transport map for me, even highlighting shortcuts to the exhibition hall entrance. Mid-stay, when I needed to borrow an umbrella, he handed me one along with a small note detailing the weather forecast. During check-out, he realized I had forgotten my charger. He quickly ran over with a spare, remarking, 'Wouldn't want you to be without your phone!' He always had 'Don't worry, I've got this' on his lips, and every detail showed his immense thoughtfulness. This was my third visit to Xiamen, and I'll definitely be staying here again next time! The facilities were also great, with laundry facilities (washer and dryer) available. It was quiet at night, ensuring a good rest. Zhongshan Road is right downstairs, and it's super close to Putuo Temple, Sunset Beach, and Shapowei."
