DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Newark Airport

My room was very clean it had everything I needed I had a balcony in the food was amazing it was so close to the airport and they had a free shuttle

Lots of issues in the first couple days, A special shout out to Jena, who truly made our trip. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for, and her kindness made such a difference to our family experience. People like Jena are what turn a stay into a memory — thank you for being amazing!

The room was spacious and well-suited for business travelers, with a large bed, sofa, and a generous work desk. The hotel is also very close to the airport. One thing to note is that the airport shuttle only runs every 30 minutes, so convenience may depend on your schedule and how rushed you are. Service was somewhat inconsistent. Some staff members were friendly and helpful, while others seemed less polished in their customer service. One shuttle driver was particularly warm and welcoming, but another came across as less professional, which left a less positive impression. The room and bathroom appeared clean overall. However, there was occasionally a faint musty odor in parts of the bathroom, possibly due to humidity. It wasn’t overwhelming, but it was noticeable at times. Overall, the spacious room and convenient airport location were definite highlights, though service quality and some maintenance details could be improved.

Generally everything was good, hotel was clean and reception good as well. Didn’t get to use any other amenities as I was there just shortly due to the nature of my visit. But will definitely book there again if I happen to be in Newark.

Near airport

We enjoyed our stay and found the rooms clean and tidy - the shuttle was efficient and reliable.  Our complaint was that we had inadequate towels for the number of people booked in and there was no shower gel in the dispenser; the hotel front desk apologised for this after the fact but took no action to compensate us.

Once we got to the hotel the receptionist was great. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable. We arrived to EWR at 10 pm and waited for the Shuttle for an hour while other hotel's Shuttles kept coming and going several times. Called the hotel several times and got a recording and was sent a link to track the Shuttle which was worthless. We eventually took an Uber. When we got to the hotel right behind us a group of stewardisses and pilots that were also waiting for the Shuttle had to take Ubers. Unfortunate that the Shuttle service did not measure up because the hotel was great.
