Holiday Inn NEWARK INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT by IHG

The towels were like the ones pictured. The deadbolt on the door wouldn't lock, and when I called the front desk to have it fixed, they said they'd need to find a manager, but then nothing happened. Oh, and the shuttle bus has been moved to P3 since the end of last year, so the information on the hotel's phone is incorrect.

I rarely write reviews on Trip.com, but I absolutely have to warn everyone away from this hotel – it's a total rip-off! If you can book somewhere else, please do. There's no drinking water in the room; you have to buy it from the small shop downstairs for $7 a bottle. There's no kettle in the room either. Breakfast is $19 per person. There was a strange buzzing sound, like an alarm clock, near the bedside table that went on all night, making it impossible to sleep well! The service from the woman who checked me in was non-existent. The only positive was the airport shuttle driver – he was a good person. Don't choose this airport hotel!

The shower in the room was shockingly bad, with water pressure so low it was like a trickle from a sink – I've never seen such terrible facilities! The hotel shuttle signs were unclear; coming from EWR, you need to take the AirTrain and then a shuttle, and I had to ask around to figure out the route. The whole process was quite a hassle, involving a walk of a mile or two. However, this might be one of the newer and more upscale hotels near the airport, and even across all US airports.

I had an excellent business stay at Holiday Inn. The location is super convenient, saving me a lot of travel time and effort. The hotel environment is simple and fresh, and the room was tidy and well-organized. All the toiletries and office facilities I needed were available, and the layout was sensible and not cramped. Check-in and check-out were quick and efficient, and the service was professional and thoughtful, not noisy at all, making it perfect for both rest and work. It offers outstanding value for money and consistent quality, making it an efficient and worry-free choice for business trips.
