A GEM find for me. I stayed two nights. Was not that cheap but compared to my recent Marriott stays this was a true diamond. I am not a rail enthusiast but love travelling and this just ticked all the boxes. I emailed days before I came requesting a railway station view. I did the same at Leeds Marriott but they let me down so much. So arrived at reception and this lovely lady checked me in and carefully looked at the plan. The room allocated was not ready, but she found a room 403 for me. One negative about reception. There was a car being driven into the foyer. The toxic fumes were so bad and what a very stupid thing to do. I have heart failure and could feel it effecting me , I dread to think how the staff on reception felt. Absolutely foolhardy. I entered my room and was so excited. Lovely clean , modern room. A ceiling to floor window with a view of the train station of Newcastle Central. The bathroom had a bath unlike Leeds marriott and had a walk in shower too. Brilliant. There was hdmi facility for the tv and welcome pack. Everything I needed. Room service was good too. Breakfast on both days was very nice, with oat milk and lots of fruit. Good offering Well done Crowne plaza

This was a fabulous stay All Staff are a credit to the hotel, with spacious rooms, cleanliness top notch, everything you could need and require in your room, so many items that you would not even realise you would need was in the room, I liked the fact had a small functioning kitchen with hob and dishwasher, a recliner sofa to watch TV from, even tissue on the coffee table, instructions for the appliciances, cleaning products and safe... When I say they have thought of Everything I meant it! It like home from home. The Rooms were comfortable, beds were a great size and so comfortable, very clean and fresh linens, big bathroom, good view from the floor we stayed on, breakfast was buffet style but well thought out and food fresh and hot, staff attendance was good ratio and they were attentive and very cheerful and helpful, also parking was a good price as well. I was also impressed with the fact of small details like a 24hr pantry shop which perfect for family guests, quieter seating/dining area for guests who don't have children, children area, radio on for a cheerful breakfast experience. Lots of little details and extras is what made our stay a good one, we will definitely use the hotel again, 1 million percent I'd recommend this hotel to others as well, keep doing what you do because your smashing it! And all at a good fair price as well!! A must try!

Dear All, Grey's st Hotel a Grade 11 listed building Slap bang in the center of the City where I cut my teeth in Life, It had been over 25 years since I was in that part of Me Toon, All the Family had come together for My Loves 60th Birthday, From Australia to Shropshire We gathered and Met up at this Jewel of a find, Our stay was for 3 neets (Nights for the non Geordie's) And From the off were not disappointed The rooms were spacious,clean and tidy, The Hotel itself with a lot of original features still there, history literally on the walls, Inside and oot (out) Although My City has changed a huge amount even in My Lifetime, What will never Change are its People Which is where the Hotels staff get a mention, Young Amy & Liam, On Front of House were exemplary, Professional, Polite, beyond helpful but they key was ”tha banta” two young ones with big smiles and even bigger kind hearts, For going the extra mile setting up Wor Lasses(The Mrs) Birthday cake surprise, I can't tank You enough, Us Geordie's are a Proud, hard working lot, We know how to graft and we certainly know how to let our hair doon (down), My city's History goes way back beyond The Roman Empire, Sat on the banks of the Tyne and to this Day is a Jewel that shines bright, Al (All)) the Staff at Grey's st thank You for helping to have made this trip a memory that No One in my Family will ever Forget. 🖤🤍XXX Ps To our Friend across the Pond Gumdrop216, Comparing My City to a srip in the Dessert that's only 80 years old😂, You should try reading a little before making comments that are uneducated, But funny like Where would the World be without a bit of Banta. If it is on the front, the scenery outside the window is very good. You can see the park hill designed by famous architects. The location is very convenient. Tram bus is very convenient for walking. Choosing here is also just one stop from the train station tram. I used to stay at this hotel for one night and I feel that I can book it here, but this time I feel very average. But there are very few options in Sheffield city centre. The waiters at the front desk of the hotel are very enthusiastic and some have a cold attitude. The most unhappy thing about this trip was housekeeping. The first day was not cleaned. I didn't clean it the next day. I saw that she was very polite and she helped clean it. The woman said that she went home after more than the time, she only worked for a while. When I checked out, my diarrhea was ten minutes late, and the cleaner directly made a dissatisfied voice to me. I was really angry. I didn't complain if I didn't clean my room. The front desk said she would tell her to clean but she did not. As for seeing that ibis will compensate for the breakfast offer, this is not at all. Really the first to see such a housekeeping. Ibis is also a well-known brand. Although the overall situation did not feel very bad, but 4.6 is a bit high.

The room was basic but spotlessly clean, as were the toilets & showers. The bed was very comfortable & the heating was good, and it wasn't as noisy as I expected. The staff were friendly & very helpful too. This was my first time staying at the Albatross Hostel as I was going the Darren Hayes concert at the O2 City Hall & it wasn't too far from the venue. I would recommend this hostel to anyone & would definitely stay there again.

Excellent location, modern and well equipped apartment. The apartment is a couple of minutes walk from the main hotel that has a fabulous roof top bar called Above with great city views at night. Friendly reception staff on arrival and departure . Apartment was clean and comfortable with drinks and snacks available to purchase at a small charge . Beds were comfortable for a good nights sleep. Only negative was that some aspects looked a bit tired - for example the fabric on the throws on the beds was clicked , and the table and doors and skirting boards were a bit scratched . Overall a great stay though
