Fabulous stay. Hotel is stunning. Incredible service, delicious food and beautiful rooms. Drinks in the Dining Room bar were fantastic and we loved our bartender. In the morning, we had one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had in a while. Could not ask for a better hotel experience. I can't wait to stay at The Vanderbilt again.

The most lovely hotel and experience we could imagine. We loved the hotel, the amenities and especially the service. We will definitely be back and would not stay anywhere else. The service was so exceptional that I immediately started looking for other Auberge resorts for our future travel.

Best hotel stay I’ve ever had, they really thought of everything. It was beautiful and in the perfect location. I loved eating in the conservatory. We frequently used the valet service and it was quick and friendly each time. I went to the spa and had a great massage by Randi.

Loved everything about The Vanderbilt and cannot wait to return soon!! We loved Newport in part because of our stay at The Vanderbilt. Aesthetically The Vanderbilt is perfect with gorgeous saturated colors and modern yet a feel of history. The little nooks and crannies around the property were fun to explore, in fact suggested. Great bar and restaurant we enjoyed very much. The location was perfect and walkable to most Newport highlights.

Warm and quaint historical mansion centrally located for easy accessibility to nearby attractions. Impeccably attentive staff, delicious food and drink. I have only been to Newport once but I would never be able to stay anywhere else when I return.

The whole team - from the valet to reception to the servers (and of course, Morgan!) - were excellent. I felt so well cared for. The room was lovely and charming and the bed was dreamy. Thanks to Raphael and the whole Vanderbilt team for a memorable stay.

Unique historic hotel, great location, lovely suite, wonderful service. Breakfast menu was great, enjoyable; dinner at The Dinning Room was stylish, service was great and personal, and an excellent alternative from the usual seafoods at the Wharf. Would definitely stay there again next time in the area.

The Staff is outstanding! The Library fabulous. Then there is the room. Room 302. So dark and dreary. I felt claustrophobic. And they don’t tell you have to take stairs, not one or two, but several up to the bed room loft. No windows, a sky light. A bathroom, that was not clean. Had dinner in the dining room. Dinner at 6:30. The service was extremely slow. The food was just ok. Octopus good, salad good, The halibut was mushy, bland, and just plain awful. Didn’t eat more the two bites. Breakfast just ok. Omelette not served hot, coffee ok. Staff excellent. I booked two nights. But left after one. The Hype they describe is just that. Hype. But I Wil say again the staff is fabulous.

Even before we arrived the staff worked hard to ensure we were comfortable. Almost everyone greeted us by name and did everything they could to accomodate us, contacting us before we arrived with excursion options, then ensuring that we could order room service before we arrived since we arrived after the kitchen closed. We ran the Newport Marathon while staying at the Vanderbilt and the staff stocked up on Gatorade and bananas for after the race. Overall an incredibly pampering experience!
