We had a 3 day break and ate twice over the Easter period. Food was good with something for even the pickiest of eaters and atmosphere made it even better. It was a little busy and we had to wait a while which was expected as we was told it’s the best place to eat in Garliston and as it was only a short walk away back to our camper we thought we would try it and glad we did. Visiting again in July for 5 nights and looking forward to enjoying some more evenings here.

Lovely big room with a massive bed that was very comfortable and blackout blinds make for a great nights sleep. A super sized bathroom with a great shower. The room has amazing views over the bay and considering the room was over the bar restaurant it was very quiet. Our dog was made very welcome in all areas of the inn with everyone making a fuss of her. The food was great with a good selection of fresh fish and very reasonably priced. The breakfast was lovely I can’t recommend this Inn highly enough already planning when we can return. It’s a wee gem!

This was our 2nd visit this year to the Harbour Inn and it did not disappoint. The rooms in the Inn are spacious and very clean and comfortable. We ate in the restaurant on both nights of our day and the food was excellent with choices to suit everyone. All the waiting staff and bar staff were very friendly and helpful. You really are made to feel very welcome be everyone. The icing on the cake was an impromptu music session in the bar last night. Great fun! Thank you Harry and crew for another fantastic stay.

What a lovely find! We were visiting the area and popped in for a quick drink. The customer base was a mix of locals and visitors and we and our dogs were made very welcome - so much so that we booked for an evening meal. Lovely meal, hearty portions, great service and reasonably priced what more could you want?

Decided to have New Years Day away from home for the first time ever. My partner and I chose The Harbour Inn with no great expectations- other than the venue being located in a tremendous situation. When I first booked, I stated that we would only accept a double room (as opposed to a twin). As there are only three rooms available this seemed a necessary point. Soon got a very helpful response back advising that this would be the case. We were also helpfully Informed that in the evening, there would be a karaoke event taking place and that, if we wished to proceed, we would be allocated a room as far away as possible. The thoughtful intent was very much appreciated. We had to meander our way through the busy bar to be able to check in, and then to be shown to our room by the pleasant young lady behind the bar. The room was basic. It was also very clean. But what we were overwhelmed by, was the stunning view from our window. That alone was worth the accommodation fee. The cosy bar, later in the evening, soon gave way to a lively affair of dining and of dance, and soon we were chatting and drinking with both local and visiting clientele. Harry, the friendly hotel owner, also took time to join us and made both my partner and I to feel that we had been visiting this bar for many years. That could well happen from now on! Among the many plus points were the lovely full Scottish breakfast and, more importantly, the helpful, friendly and welcoming staff

If you want a comfortable base to explore the area, I couldn't think of anywhere better. The room was huge, the bed comfortable, and I particularly liked the blackout blinds as well as curtains because I'm very light sensitive. The view over the harbour was fab, I could sit at the window for hours (just as well the comfy seats are supplied - it rained all morning!) Breakfast was amazing - highly recommend the omelette - fluffy and glorious. Good wake-you-up coffee too!

Just returned from a 2 night stay at the Harbour Inn and what a brilliant time we had. The room we were given was large and spotlessly clean as was the bathroom. The view from the window was fabulous overlooking the little harbour. Our bed was huge and so comfortable I didn’t want to get up but if I hadn’t I would have missed the delicious Scottish breakfast. Such a great choice on the menu which should suit all tastes. We enjoyed drinks in the cosy, friendly bar before we had our evening meals in the restaurant. If you want Nouvelle Cuisine then don’t eat here but if you want good, hearty, tasty food then this is place for you. Everything we ate was very nicely prepared and very good. If the Salted Caramel Cheesecake is on the menu then try it. It was delicious! Thank you to everyone for making our stay so very enjoyable. I have already booked to stay later in the year.

Whilst on holiday we visited this restaurant twice and both times the food was delicious. We booked for an evening meal and then returned next day for lunch as we had enjoyed it so much. Simple pub food done extremely well with friendly helpful staff and very reasonable prices. Also has a nice cozy bar with real fire.

I've visited a few times for a drink and a meal. Staff are always friendly, even when they are very busy. The dining area is very popular and tables pretty much always have to be reserved, but because I have mostly been on my own, staff have let me sit and eat in the bar area - which is probably more entertaining anyway! Standard pub grub, but generous portions and well cooked and presented.
