This was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences I have ever had.
Considering the room rate of USD 560 per night, the overall quality was far below my expectations. The only highlight was the beautiful view. Everything else fell well short of the standard one would expect at this price point.
The hotel does not provide complimentary parking. Guests must park in a lot around the corner, which costs USD 36 per night. The room also did not include complimentary bottled water or slippers—we only received slippers after requesting them from the front desk.
Cleanliness was another major disappointment. As soon as we entered the room, there was a strong musty smell that triggered my allergies. The windows were also noticeably dirty, so even though the view was beautiful, we could only enjoy it through glass covered with smudges and dust. In the hallway, someone had dropped two large pieces of cookie on the carpet, and there were still crumbs left on the floor the following day. Even the bathroom design was poor—the toilet blocked the door, making it difficult to open without pushing hard.
However, the most frustrating part of our stay was the restaurant service.
During check-in, I asked the front desk if we could add breakfast for one child. The staff member kindly explained that adding it at check-in would be cheaper than purchasing it directly at the restaurant. I agreed and asked them to add one child’s breakfast. They confirmed and said it would be updated in our reservation.
The next morning, when we arrived at the restaurant, we were told that our reservation only included breakfast for two adults and that we would need to purchase the child’s breakfast on the spot. I explained that I had already requested and confirmed the child’s breakfast during check-in. Instead of helping resolve the issue, the server responded, “It’s only a few dollars. It’s not a big difference.”
I was shocked by this response. I told them, “This is not about the money. I already made the request during check-in.”
Then the manager came over and, in a sarcastic tone, said, “We have no record of the ‘cheaper breakfast’ you’re referring to.”
I replied, “This is not about the money, and it is certainly not my mistake. This is an issue with your hotel’s internal communication and reservation system.”
Only then did the manager agree to update our reservation so we would not have to pay there.
For a hotel charging USD 560 per night, I expected much better cleanliness, organization, and service. Unfortunately, the poor maintenance, lack of attention to detail, and unprofessional attitude completely overshadowed the otherwise beautiful view.
I would not recommend this hotel.
