Hotel -Layout was not welcoming/ inviting as the front doors leads to a hallway & the reception desk is up 3steps before you are greeted by someone. This makes carrying luggage difficult. - Storing luggage until the room was ready was fine. - Lift was small and can fit max 3people without luggage and was sometimes slow to come. - Would not rate as a 4 star hotel. Location - Approx. 15min walk from the promenade, which meant we were away from the noise. - 2mins away from the train station, which is ideal is travelling by train. - Area was OK, but not the best. Drinks - The complimentary drinks were tap water, lemonade (made from tap water), tea and coffee. If you dont drink tap water, there is no free alternative provided, with the reason given they are reducing use of plastic (bottled, glass water is avaiable to purchase). Room -We stayed in a classic room (208) which was compact. -They are definitely not soundproof & is dependent on the guests, as we could hear their conversations and when they were using the shower. -All the hotel doors make a loud bang when closed. -The room layout and space could have been utilised more effectively. E.g. 1/3 of the wardrobes were dumpy drawers. We had a chair but it was placed infront of the only long mirror in the room. -The charging ports were only accessible from one side of the bed, which can be challenging & annoying at times. - The room view was of the street and of the opposite building, which was not the nicest. Breakfast -We would advise you to think twice before booking breakfast. -Breakfast selection is very small - neatly presented in the corner of the room. -Minimal vegetarian and vegan optipns - which is not worth the money they ask - with the reason given France is not accomodating to vegetarian food. One gluten free option. -Fresh orange juice and breads were delicious. -There were 2 choices of fresh fruit (apple & kiwi) neither of which looked appealing. -No salad options. -Staff did not clear the tables as you were eating. -If all the guests were to be in the room at the same time, it would be very cramped, noisy and cause queuing. Staff -Half were friendly, polite and welcoming. The other half were not and would not acknowledge you upon entering or leaving the hotel. -When we were checking out, we were not offered support with our luggage down the steps, instead a hotel guest offered to help us! Also, the staff member did not finish with out checking out and had already started serving the guest behind us. -When making enqueries, staff were helpful and tried their best, with clear instructions. -An item was requested, which was not available. We were reassured this item would be sent to our room the next morning, but alas this did not happen.

We have stayed at this hotel on a number of occasions over the last 12 years. This is a great hotel, next to the Station, ideal for exporing Nice and the Cote D’Azur. This is a budget hotel, so the rooms and facilities are basic, but the hotel is very clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. We had a refurbished room which had a much improved bathroom. We will definitely stay here again in the future. The area around the hotel and Nice Ville railway station has been much improved over the last 10 years.

Stayed for a few nights with family and cannot rate this hostel highly enough! Rooms are spacious and have a real hotel ‘feel’, including en-suite bathrooms. And these guys have thought of everything with plenty of sockets in the room, laundry service, gym, computers and chill-out zones. Security is as good as any hotel I’ve ever stayed in and the whole place has a really easy, welcoming vibe. Spacious and stylish place that’s really great value for money. Really accommodating for a young family and even when busy felt really calm and quiet. Close to beach and all else Nice has to offer - will definitely stay again!

Very nice hotel, convenient, 20 minutes walk from the city center, and the price is very cheap. . The breakfast is also good. . Lots of food. . There is also a big shopping mall opposite the hotel. . The surrounding facilities are complete. . Everything. .

Very Nice Place and top services. Professional Staff and bar activities very Fun. The Place stay's very close to the Train Station and 5 Minutes walking from the Massena Area. Rest Rooms and bed Rooms Always Clean. Service available for every kind of service. Highly Recommended!

The bathroom partition in the room is very poor, the shower bathroom is full of water, the four-star hotel only provides paper cups, it is easy to rot the store, and it will not help to change the initiative overnight, the bathroom hair dryer is very old and faulty. The water output of the shower head is very small. The quality of the bed is medium. The breakfast quality is medium, probably only Samsung. I had to iron my shirt in the morning because I had to attend an important occasion, that is, I chose this hotel because I saw that the hotel had this service. When I arrived at the ironing room, none of the two irons could be used. At that time, it was about 8:00. I responded to the hotel about this matter and said that I needed to go out to attend important occasions at 10:00. They said they would deal with it and notify me. At about 8:40, I will ask again. The counter told me that the repair staff would not come until 9:00, and said they would call me again. When I waited until 9:30, there was no audio. I called the counter again. They said that they would reply to my situation in 2 minutes. The result was not returned. I called back again. This time it was more exaggerated and I didn't answer my phone at all. It didn't answer until 9:45. I rushed downstairs to prepare my shirt, and it was fine, and when it went down, an iron with a large rusty print was printed directly on my white shirt, and ruined my whole shirt, for there was no time, and I could only go to the hotel counter and tell them to tell me before I came back What they were going to do about it, and after I came back in the evening, there was no audio, as if there was nothing at all. I just took my shirt and asked them to deal with it. If it was something I would not claim. The next morning, when I went to get the shirt, they washed the shirt, but the obvious print was still on it, the counter told me that it was 15 euros to wash one, not my money. When I heard it, I was really mad. Did you figure out the situation? Is it their hotel iron that broke my shirt, making me look like a Okee who asked someone to do my laundry for free? The counter also told me that they had changed the iron in the last two weeks. Although they could not be verified, it was really outrageous. I came to see that iron later, and it was not like it had only been used for two weeks. Finally, after the counter manager came out, I was willing to compensate my shirt for 40 euros. Because the shirt itself had been depreciated, I didn't pursue it again, otherwise it was not only this value. The overall service feels very poor, the equipment is also very backward, and I will never stay again.

Hotel fine, comfortable. Beware of asking them to arrange a taxi to the airport. I asked how much a taxi would be and was told 35 Euros, so asked for a taxi to be booked for the next morning. The ”taxi” was a private operator licensed to work as a taxi, but had no meter. When i asked where the meter was, the driver told me the fare was 40 Euros, this after I'd already got in and we were on our way. Beware of this tactic. Not sure how this is organised, but need to have correct information given before booking.

Very comfortable! d The staff is very nice, I was upgraded to the family room, and it is really chill to bring a terrace! There is a cold and hot water machine in the front desk, which is very convenient! (Pour water into the water bottle when you go out, drink cup noodles at night 🤣) The breakfast is good French, the only hot thing is a self-service machine that cooks eggs 😂but the freshly squeezed orange juice machine is good, and there are two coffee machines (my choice: hot chocolate on the left and mocha on the right) transportation : Nice seaside/street - just 15 minutes to go without thinking 😂 Airport - Walk for 5 minutes to Jean Médecin Station and take Line 2. There is a ticket machine next to the station (€10/person for a round trip), remember to snap the card when you enter the Tram Eze village - Walk for 15 minutes to Boyer Station and take Bus82/602, get on the bus and buy a ticket with the driver and it will be ok (€4/person for one trip), remember to snap card Monaco/Menton ; Antibes/Cannes - 5 minutes walk to Nice Villa train station, you can buy tickets on the SNCF app or use the on-site SNCF machine control, which is very convenient (one journey~€5.6/person), remember to insert the physical ticket Take Saint Paul de Vence - Nice Villa train station to Cagnes sur Mer (one journey ~€3.3/person), and there is Bus655 as soon as you leave the station (one journey €2/person)

J'ai récemment séjourné à l'Hôtel So'Co et je suis ravi de partager mon avis positif. Tout d'abord, l'emplacement de l'hôtel est vraiment pratique. Il est situé à proximité de la gare et du centre-ville, ce qui rend les déplacements et l'exploration de la ville très faciles. Le personnel de l'hôtel est vraiment sympathique et accueillant. Ils étaient toujours prêts à répondre à mes questions, leur hospitalité a rendu mon séjour très agréable. Les chambres étaient propres, confortables et bien aménagées, ce qui a contribué à rendre mon séjour agréable. En ce qui concerne le petit-déjeuner, j'ai été agréablement surpris par la variété et la qualité des plats proposés. Le prix était également très correct par rapport à ce qui était offert. Si vous cherchez un hébergement abordable sans compromettre le confort, cet hôtel est un excellant choix.

My wife and I stayed for one week at Hotel Byakko. It is conveniently placed for public transport and in good walking distance of the shops and Old Town. The staff are all very friendly, polite and efficient and the amenities and breakfast good. Our bed was extremely comfortable and the shower good too. If anything, the hotel undersells itself, by not mentioning some of its amenities, including free afternoon tea, a safe in the room, shower soap etc in the bathroom and so on. We would highly recommend Hotel Byakko and would certainly stay there again if we are back in NIce. Thank you to all the hotel's staff for an enjoyable stay.
