Nikko Cottage FU-Sha

Yoshiko-san is an amazing host! My husband and I loved our stay at the Nikko Cottage. Yoshiko-san was so kind to pick us up at the Tobu Nikko station. She's a local, so she knew all the great spots and would even give us tips about the weather (some days the winds get big and scary) and how to plan our sight seeing in Nikko. Location wise, this location is about five minutes away from Kanmangafuchi Abyss. It is about a ten minute walk to the Tobu bus line which can take you to Kegon Falls. You can also walk to the Shinkyo Bridge and the It takes about 17 minutes but it is such a beautiful walk and totally worth it. We also were able to go to a nearby onsen called Nikko Wanoshiro by walking 10 minutes to the bus, taking the bus, and walking another 12 minutes to the onsen.

Very well maintained and comfortable traditional home. Comfortable futon beds, large bathroom and kitchen. Perfect location to walk to the temples. Excellent host Yoshiko. She drove us from and to train station, did our laundry and brought us good food for breakfast. Absolute gem.

Great location, in a quiet part of the neighborhood and was able to walk to the sights and convenience store. The host was so helpful and communicative, she dropped me off at the train station and helped me with tickets! Highly recommended, I would stay here if I returned again :)

It was a fantastic experience to be able to stay in a traditional home for a few nights. Yoshiko made our stay so comfortable and provided advice on sightseeing, rides to and from the station, gave us snacks and breakfast food and did our laundry. What a treasure. We hope to go back!

The owner is very kind and speak fluent English. She responded to my emails right away. The bed is comfortable. It is a peaceful place and we enjoyed our stay!

Yoshiko, the owner picked us up form the station on arrival and dropped us off at the station on departure. She is friendly and helpful with ideas for navigating the city and the park. A yummy continental breakfast was included.

A perfect stay. Lovely traditional home in a quiet location near the river. Yoshiko is a delightful host - she picked us up and dropped us off at the train station, and provided us fresh bread, yoghurt, juice and fruit. Cottage is right near the start of a lovely walk along Ganman ga Fuchi Abyss past the Jizou statues. 15 minute walk to the Toshogu Shrine. Highly recommend this place!
