Novotel Ningbo East

Service: The staff were enthusiastic and proactively informed me about parking QR codes. Check-in was very fast. Environment: Directly opposite Hankyu, very close within walking distance, with a subway station in between. The underground parking garage has a good number of spaces. There are a few commercial areas nearby, convenient for dining and shopping. I wasn't given a room facing Hankyu, but at the end of the elevator hall, there's a large floor-to-ceiling window where you can take photos of the Hankyu night view. Facilities: Twin beds, good hygiene, separate key card, and a mini-fridge. The bedding was comfortable, and cleanliness was good. The only minor issues were that the water pressure in the bathroom was a bit low at night, and the toilet was square-shaped. Breakfast: The variety wasn't extensive, but it had all the essentials. The freshly made omelets were particularly delicious. The watermelon was very sweet. One thing worth praising is that this place has decent soundproofing. The hotel I stayed at the next day, which had the same star rating as Novotel and was not far away, had much worse soundproofing... it really shows that comparison highlights flaws. Next time I come to Ningbo, Novotel will be my first choice.

The staff were okay, but there were many downsides. The TV in our original room was broken, so we had to switch rooms. In the new room, the showerhead couldn't be adjusted and the water pressure was very low. The square toilet was quite uncomfortable. There were mosquitoes in the room; we had to get up in the middle of the night to find an old-fashioned mosquito coil. My child got bitten on their neck and legs. This place really needs a renovation, but I guess they're avoiding the cost. With its current state, I definitely wouldn't recommend it based on value for money.

Came to Ningbo for tomb sweeping and stayed near here. It's quite convenient for dining as there are many shopping malls nearby, and the hotel price is very reasonable. It offers great value for money and I would stay here again. The only downsides are that the hotel is a bit old, and the water pressure in the lower-floor rooms is a bit low.

Extremely satisfied! I didn't expect such a high-quality stay for this price; it far exceeded my expectations. The specific pros: the room was spacious, well-equipped, and very clean with no strange odors. Check-in was immediate upon arrival, with no delays. The 2 PM check-out time was very generous (most hotels are 12 PM). It's also quite close to the subway station and the Ningbo Cultural Plaza Grand Theater, making it very convenient for catching a show. I'll definitely choose to stay here again next time I'm in town for a performance.

The room's facilities were very outdated and not particularly clean. There were very noticeable water stains on the sink! We arrived at the hotel in the evening. When checking in, I asked the front desk where we could eat, and the responses were perfunctory throughout, not really solving my problem. The guy in the regular uniform had no idea about anything I asked. Later, someone in a suit came over, and his attitude was extremely poor!

I called the front desk on the evening of March 13th to request some bottled water, and they said 'okay' but never sent it up. I called again, still nothing. I tried once more, and still no water. It wasn't until the next morning that the front desk finally sent it. Was it forgotten, or just completely ignored?
