We went to this lovely hotel in the ‘Cloud Forest’ directly after National Holiday with our family of 4 (2 toddlers) and my parents. We had two Songyuan rooms which were totally amazing. Stunning view of the trees and river and extremely spacious and thought out.
In fact the entire resort is beautiful and our kids LOVED the golf cart rides to dinner.
We got very unlucky with weather as it poured the two days we were there but we still managed the walk to Chiang Kai-sheks villa and water feature - which was beautiful and interesting.
On a slightly different note, with a western perspective there were a couple areas for improvement.
Ideally the restaurant menus could be translated to English and left in the rooms (it’s a nightmare trying to translate a menu, pick what to order with 2 hungry kids at a restaurant).
Also, the playroom wasn’t a playroom while we were there which was a big disappointment since it was raining. Not as advertised - just carpet in a room (which the kids did still have fun running around on).
Finally, a good hiking map of the area in the room would have been appreciated too.

Thank to the hotel management, upgraded us.
The environment was great.
Food a bit pricy.
The hotel room was fabulous and clean.
Hotel service excellent. Prior to your trip the hotel management will call up to inform about weather, arrange for transport to pick up from train station. The price for transport are reasonable. Driver Mr Dan has great driving skill, caring and friendly.

Absolutely stunning!!! Amazing design of the apartment and site. Peaceful and quiet amidst the forest. The only downside is the pool was closed.

The housekeeper Yujie is quite responsible, but the others are very bad!! The girl at the front desk has a ** face and doesn't look like a service staff at all! The breakfast was changed to a set meal on non-activity days, and the meat was cold when it was served. The swimming pool was very, very dirty, almost for decoration, but the four-digit price of the hotel includes these services. If these supporting facilities cannot be provided, don't write them into the hotel project, and don't charge this price. What's the use of having an excellent housekeeper service ability when these supporting services of the hotel are so rubbish?

The butler (Dongxue) provided service throughout the trip. Dongxue was very considerate. Sweet soup and fruit were arranged in the afternoon. It was especially suitable for outings.
