Hotels in Tianyi Square/Town God's Temple/Drum-Tower, Ningbo

Hotel service quality is the best for our China trip. Hotel is relatively close to 天一广场（around 5mins) where musical fountain show being performed around 8.30pm (after dinner)。 Front desk staff are very helpful and special praises to 九月 and Cici. 九月 recommended 阿毛饭店 that serves delicious Ningbo cruisines and join their gold card membership for only Rmb39 which includes 6 breakfast vouchers per year. Besides popcorn, they also serve dessert supper to our room even past their room service hours (7.30pm to 9pm). On site laundry service collection & delivery can also be arranged. Front service, Cici, also helped to carry our luggages to board didi car before departing to Ningbo station. Many thanks!

The location is great, just behind Tianyi Plaza and not far from Gulou. Next door is a cathedral and a fire station. Every morning and evening, you can hear reveille and taps. This deeply impressed my husband, who's a veteran. We were actually scrolling through options for the next day, but the moment taps played, my husband instantly put his phone down and listened intently to the bugle call 🤦🏻♂️. The next morning, we woke up with the reveille call and headed out to find some breakfast. If you're not a super light sleeper, it probably won't bother you; I wasn't affected at all. However, my husband is a very light sleeper, so it did impact him. The young lady at the front desk was very friendly and helpful. One minor thing: that small sofa really needs a good cleaning 🤦🏻♂️.

Location very near Gulou Metro Line 2 and easy access from the airport. Hotel just outside Exit A just beside ATOUR Hotel, surrounded by restaurants and very near underground shopping area and Drum Tower shopping street. Room is clean and comfortable but the breakfast is very plain and simple not worth to pay additional 20RMB for it. Will stay again here on my next visit

Although the hotel facilities are a bit dated, the service absolutely deserves a five-star rating. The front desk staff were polite and thoughtful, and service requests were promptly attended to. Since there were three of us staying, they generously provided an extra breakfast. The breakfast was excellent, offering a rich variety of options compared to other hotels of a similar standard. Even for someone like me who is a picky eater, there was plenty to choose from, and I felt completely satisfied. The restaurant staff were also very courteous and provided attentive service in a timely manner. I was even pleasantly surprised to find that the bathroom faucets were Hansgrohe. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay. If I had to mention any minor drawbacks, the hotel's shower caps were too small to fit my head – I hope they can improve their selection of amenities in the future. The room lighting was a bit dim, the telephone was out of order, and the bathroom lacked a rain shower. However, none of these issues significantly impacted my overall experience.

Great location, with the subway station right outside, making it super convenient for getting around and sightseeing. That afternoon, we visited the Cultural Plaza, and my child was completely engrossed for three hours! We then walked halfway around Moon Lake, where we witnessed the vibrant energy of the local seniors. As we walked from day into evening, we were lucky enough to capture some incredibly beautiful sunset glow! On our way to Qingjiamu for dinner, the sunlight dappling through the roadside trees was so beautiful I couldn't tear my eyes away. As a home cook myself, I can say that most of Qingjiamu's dishes were exquisite and delicious. As a specialty Ningbo restaurant, it's definitely worth experiencing! I heard their raw marinated seafood is a specialty, but unfortunately, I'm not a big fan of raw food. However, their braised pork belly and eel rice were absolutely unbelievably delicious! Highly recommended! After dinner, we finished walking the remaining half of Moon Lake, then visited Drum Tower. We happened to catch the evening projection show, and even at night, it was incredibly crowded! Our half-day 'citywalk' concluded with a total of 16,000 steps for the day. The next day, we slept in and enjoyed the buffet breakfast at the hotel. I highly recommend trying the freshly made mini wontons there! We took the high-speed train to Ningbo Academician Center. The scenery there was indeed beautiful, but I don't recommend visiting the 'influencer hotspots,' as there are huge crowds queuing up for photos. If you have time, you can visit the International Lake House; the scenery there is also absolutely stunning! Unfortunately, it suddenly poured rain the day I went, and I was soaked to the bone. So we spontaneously changed plans and went to Rulinhui Foot Spa for a foot massage. By the time it was over, my clothes were almost dry. We also tried the specialty seafood noodles at Miandaozan, and they were truly fantastic! Afterwards, we went to Romon Universal Park for the evening session. You definitely need to buy the night-session ticket as there's hardly any queuing, and the experience is fantastic! Another day of 15,000 steps – what a blast!

Came to Ningbo for a concert. Nan Yuan offers great value for money, perfect for backpacker-style travel! The Line 4 subway station right outside the hotel means I didn't have to worry about the inevitable traffic jams and crowds around the stadium. When I got back in the evening, I even ordered takeout, and the hotel staff helped deliver it straight to my room. The front desk service was excellent and very thoughtful! We needed disposable chopsticks, and they quickly sorted it out for us. It really shows the difference a larger hotel makes; they have everything!

This Japanese-style tatami room is located right by the City God Temple. Transportation is very convenient, with plenty of dining options nearby. The surroundings were lovely, the room was spotless, and the facilities were comprehensive. The front desk staff provided excellent service. Right across the street, there's an amazing lottery shop – it's the first time I've ever seen one open until dawn after visiting so many places! After enjoying some delicious food downstairs, I casually bought a few scratch-off tickets and surprisingly won 900 yuan! I even noticed a newly hung banner in the shop proudly announcing a 100,000 yuan grand prize winner! I was so thrilled! This trip was truly worthwhile. Ningbo truly impressed me with its warmth and friendliness. I'll definitely be back next time!

Stay for 4 nights at this nice hotel, they upgraded my room to river view , so I can enjoy the night light show ! The location is so convenient, I walk to Tianyi Square and Bill Tower, also Old Bund cross river… all hotel staff are so friendly and eager to help whatever you require ! I am highly recommend this hotel if you visit Ningbo city ! Also city has amazing food

The hotel is conveniently located right by Tianyi Pavilion and Moon Lake, making it easy to get to all the attractions, whether by taxi or on foot. In the morning, you can take a leisurely stroll around Moon Lake. There's a shopping complex nearby with small restaurants, so dining is very convenient, and food delivery is quick. The parking lot is quite large and free of charge. The room was clean and new, with complete facilities. During the National Day holiday, we were given a complimentary upgrade to a city view room and thoughtfully placed on the moat side to avoid the noise from the Tianyi Pavilion renovation. We could see the moat right from our window. We received welcome fruits, and in the evening, the butler prepared pumpkin porridge and hot milk for guests. They also provided bath bubbles for the bathtub, and our child absolutely loved the full tub of bubbles 🛁 – excellent emotional value, really appreciate it! You can see the details on the business card in the picture. During the National Day and Mid-Autumn Festival, the hotel lobby organized parent-child activities, which the kids enjoyed. The hotel breakfast was plentiful, with delicious wontons and noodles, and some Ningbo local snacks. Even though it was crowded during the holiday, the restaurant didn't feel cramped, allowing us to start each day energized. Plus, the chrysanthemum tea bags at the front desk were really tasty, highly recommended! 👍

Our room was spacious and bright, offering a beautiful river view. The hotel service was truly exceptional; staff personally delivered our luggage to the room, and any issues were addressed promptly and professionally. We found the hotel manager to be incredibly welcoming and hospitable. 👍👍 A pleasant surprise was discovering that Yan Pai Dang, located downstairs, is part of the renowned Ninghai Shifu group, and Zhang Fu Ji, where breakfast is served, also operates under the same excellent culinary umbrella. The food offerings were truly outstanding. Our stay at Ascott on the final day truly made our family trip to Ningbo exceptionally enjoyable.
