Hotels in East New City/International Convention Center, Ningbo

Pretty close to the metro station and only about 30 minutes away from train station (with the metro). The area was nice to walk around in by foot, and accessible with car. The reception was friendly and helpful, and the rooms clean and not old and worn-down. The aircondition worked.

Great location, with the subway station right outside, making it super convenient for getting around and sightseeing. That afternoon, we visited the Cultural Plaza, and my child was completely engrossed for three hours! We then walked halfway around Moon Lake, where we witnessed the vibrant energy of the local seniors. As we walked from day into evening, we were lucky enough to capture some incredibly beautiful sunset glow! On our way to Qingjiamu for dinner, the sunlight dappling through the roadside trees was so beautiful I couldn't tear my eyes away. As a home cook myself, I can say that most of Qingjiamu's dishes were exquisite and delicious. As a specialty Ningbo restaurant, it's definitely worth experiencing! I heard their raw marinated seafood is a specialty, but unfortunately, I'm not a big fan of raw food. However, their braised pork belly and eel rice were absolutely unbelievably delicious! Highly recommended! After dinner, we finished walking the remaining half of Moon Lake, then visited Drum Tower. We happened to catch the evening projection show, and even at night, it was incredibly crowded! Our half-day 'citywalk' concluded with a total of 16,000 steps for the day. The next day, we slept in and enjoyed the buffet breakfast at the hotel. I highly recommend trying the freshly made mini wontons there! We took the high-speed train to Ningbo Academician Center. The scenery there was indeed beautiful, but I don't recommend visiting the 'influencer hotspots,' as there are huge crowds queuing up for photos. If you have time, you can visit the International Lake House; the scenery there is also absolutely stunning! Unfortunately, it suddenly poured rain the day I went, and I was soaked to the bone. So we spontaneously changed plans and went to Rulinhui Foot Spa for a foot massage. By the time it was over, my clothes were almost dry. We also tried the specialty seafood noodles at Miandaozan, and they were truly fantastic! Afterwards, we went to Romon Universal Park for the evening session. You definitely need to buy the night-session ticket as there's hardly any queuing, and the experience is fantastic! Another day of 15,000 steps – what a blast!

Hotel service quality is the best for our China trip. Hotel is relatively close to 天一广场（around 5mins) where musical fountain show being performed around 8.30pm (after dinner)。 Front desk staff are very helpful and special praises to 九月 and Cici. 九月 recommended 阿毛饭店 that serves delicious Ningbo cruisines and join their gold card membership for only Rmb39 which includes 6 breakfast vouchers per year. Besides popcorn, they also serve dessert supper to our room even past their room service hours (7.30pm to 9pm). On site laundry service collection & delivery can also be arranged. Front service, Cici, also helped to carry our luggages to board didi car before departing to Ningbo station. Many thanks!

From booking to final check-in, my experience at the Shangri-La Ningbo was absolutely perfect, and much of that perfection was due to two front desk staff members: Minnie and Anna. I needed to book a room last minute, but my phone was dead and I couldn't even borrow a power bank. Minnie gave me a charging cable and even used her own phone to show me a better price. After the booking was confirmed, she also helped upgrade my room. Anna even walked me from the lobby all the way to my room. As soon as I opened the door, I was stunned by the beautiful night view. Tianyi Plaza was right across from the hotel, and the confluence of the Three Rivers was just downstairs. Cruise ships were passing by one after another, with neon lights glittering. Anna helped me put my luggage on the rack and introduced me to the hotel's breakfast times and locations, as well as nearby malls and attractions. Later, a generous plate of fruits and snacks was delivered to my room. The promise, 'Please feel free to dial 0 from your room phone if you need anything during your stay,' gave me immense peace of mind. Anna and Minnie weren't just doing their jobs; they were using their professionalism, attentiveness, and sincerity to create unforgettable memories for every guest. They made us deeply understand that Shangri-La's renowned 'Asian hospitality' is carried and delivered by outstanding employees like them. The environment is very quiet. For someone like me who has difficulty sleeping, it is rare that I can get a good night's sleep. Although I ordered breakfast, I was in a hurry and didn't eat it [cracked]

There are shopping malls and subway entrances 100 meters around the hotel, which is convenient for shopping and traveling. Although there are road construction and building construction next to it, it is not noisy. Overall, 5 points of praise.

This is my second stay. The room is very comfortable, the shower is quite big, the air conditioner is very cold, and they provide free breakfast. The breakfast dishes are up to standard. The only thing I am not satisfied with is the toothpaste. The one used by the previous guest was not replaced in time, so I found that it was used by someone else. I called the front desk to ask for a new tube of toothpaste, but they brought me a toothbrush. I don't know if there was a problem with the communication between you. I am satisfied with everything else.

I would have given a 5-star review for Pan Pacific Ningbo had it not been for allowing guests and even hotel staff to smoke in the hotel! I give 1-star for cleanliness because allowing guests and staff to smoke in a hotel lobby and rooms is simply disgusting! There's nothing clean about it! It's such a waste because Pan Pacific Ningbo has such great facilities and luxurious interior; I even made a video of the hotel and will be posting it on my newly created YouTube channel. I may return again when the Chinese government has banned smoking in hotels and taken a more serious attitude against smoking and enforced the laws against smoking in hotels and restaurants. Having brought up the bad thing about Pan Pacific Ningbo, I would like to highly commend the following staff for their exemplary services: 1. Cady of the reception Cady was the same receptionist who checked us in during our two separate stays, on our way to Zhoushan and back from Zhoushan. She was very courteous and friendly. She offered to add me on her WeChat so that I could contact her if I needed anything. True enough, I needed to contact her within a few hours after we checked-in during our second stay. Smoke filled our room. When I found out that it came from the room next to ours, I immediately informed Cady, who immediately arranged for someone to spray air freshener in the corridor. She offered air filter, which I declined as we were already going out. As we walked down the lobby, I realized that Cady had actually left, and she was arranging all those even though she was already off duty! It was also Cady who informed me that GHA Discovery members would get dining discount by giving me a brochure. 2. Cora (陈丽) Cora was the wait staff attending our table at Madr 99. When I found out that I had run out of mobile data plan, I asked Cora for the passcode to logon to the hotel Wifi. Strangely, there's no option to logon with hotel room number. There were only 2 ways to logon to the hotel wifi: using a passcode and mobile number. Cora kindly offered to use her mobile number to help me logon. She didn't even ask me to use my own mobile number. It was very kind of her to do that. Upon paying the bill, I presented Cora with my GHA Discovery membership card. Cora provided me with 10% discount for silver member, exactly as stated in the brochure that Cady gave me. When we headed back to the serviced suites, another male wait staff chased us and rudely told me that GHA Discovery silver member was not entitled to any dining discount at all. He demanded me to go with him to the cashier to sign a new invoice. I later contacted Cady and asked her to verify with her manager the terms and conditions of dining discount for GHA Discovery member, before we went to Hai Tien Lo to dine in the evening. Cady, who was already at home and off duty, gladly obliged to my request, and confirmed that dining discount was applicable to even silver members. Perhaps hotel management could ask Cora to train the guy properly before allowing him to interact with guests directly! Otherwise, one day he might get punched by guests who are irritated by his behavior. 3. Cavan Cavan was the porter/concierge who helped us deliver our luggage to our room. He, too, was friendly and polite like Cady and Cora. He even walked us to Madr 99 and showed us where all the hotel restaurants were located. The way he treated us was like VVIP. The hotel management should treasure and try to retain these 3 excellent staff. Have these 3 experienced staff to train their junior colleagues.

The manager Lisa is outstanding.  Friendly, accommodating and helpful to a point that she helped with what we needed on her time off.  I’m very impressed!!

The room was very comfortable, featuring smart switches and electric curtains throughout. The sensor functionality of the switches was a great convenience. As a frequent guest of Wyndham hotels, I always appreciate their thoughtful service and pleasant atmosphere. The breakfast spread was extensive. Although my schedule was a bit tight this trip and I couldn't make it to the pool, I noted the gym offered a wide range of equipment. This hotel is ideal for business travelers, family gatherings, and family stays.
