This two-story villa facing the river is about a kilometer from the town center. It's an interesting walk where you will see many aspects of traditional Laos culture on display. The villa is well-contructed and the rooms are basic (no bar fridge or TV but decent wifi), clean and comfortable. A friendly Laos family manages the operation and does a good job accommodating needs of guests. Breakfasts are served on a deck that runs across the front of the villa facing the river. Coffee service could be improved; we heard some complaints about packages of Nescafe served instead of the real thing. Overall, this is good value for accommodation in Nong Khiaw, well worth the extra effort to visit while traditions are still very much alive.
