This hostel is a convenient and affordable option for backpackers, and you can even cook your own meals. It's located near Perth Train Station, with plenty of restaurants nearby, making it super easy to get around.

I stayed in a shared room, and while the room itself was clean and nice, the body odor of the person sharing the room with me was quite strong. Other than that, everything was fine.

I stayed for 6 days, and it was my first time staying in an overseas hostel! Regarding amenities, nothing is provided, so you need to bring your own shampoo, body wash, etc. There are only showers. The cleanliness depends on the room you're in. My room was a bit messy because I was sharing it with someone who had been staying there for a long time. The hallway had boots and shoes from guests, but it wasn't inconvenient to walk through. The communal kitchen and lobby were great for relaxing, which I really appreciated. There's also an exclusive guest area on the first floor where you can play games or eat. Since I was traveling solo this time, I didn't usually use it, but I found out about it when I had dinner with my roommate once. The reception staff were polite, energetic, and made for a pleasant experience. It was also possible to store luggage after check-out; it was set up so you could put your bags in a luggage room yourself.

It's an old establishment, so the ambiance is hard to compare with newer hotels. However, the hygiene is good, and both the shared kitchen and bathrooms are clean. The kitchen has an open flame stove, which is convenient for cooking. Located in Chinatown, the location is definitely handy.
