Narrow access road towards the property, watch out for crazy speeders (must be locals) around sharp bends, the actual access road to the property is BADLY POT HOLED . £189 one night ,bed and breakfast, The owner ,as that is i presume he was,ive got some advice for you,Dont class me as a city slicker who doesnt know anything about the country, for your information ive lived in the country longer than youve run your business, and i now live in a village,so DONT class me as a city slicker, after speaking to you ,it seems everything revolves around YOU,and not the paying guests, dont lecture me on YOU ,wont cook food for less than a certain amount of people, because of food waste,i dont want to hear it ,thats your problem not mine, then when we tried to tell you that you couldnt book a meal on line anyway ,as you require 24 hrs notice???,because there was no way of doing it on line from your web site, you seemed to totally ignore us ,from what ive read from other reviews this seems to be a trate with you. As for the accommodation,it smelt of damp when we walked in,the double bed was two singles put together,bathroom/shower was good ,clean, plenty of towels and hot water, heating was excellent. Breakfast (full english) was adequate. One night was plenty ,will i return ? NO WAY! Owner needs to wind his neck in.

Review for spa, not the hotel itself. The setting is beautiful, amongst the trees so very peaceful and idyllic. It’s a shame because this place could be really special but unfortunately we found the spa area to be grubby and in need of a good clean. The pool area/shower/changing room is old and tired which to be fair I could have overlooked if the standard of cleanliness was better. The headrests in the hot tub were dirty, the floor was dirty around the pool. Instead of booking people back to back, why not have a 10/15 minute buffer time so a member of staff can come and give everything a once over for the next people. We also felt the ambience and energy of the ‘spa and treatment experience’ wasn’t very calm, it felt a little erratic which isn’t really what you want from a spa session.

A wonderful place to spend time with friends. 8 of us booked a one night stay in Hedgehog Cottage, Walnut & Sycamore suite. All clean, well equipped and very comfortable. Breakfast was very impressive. The grounds were very peaceful and tranquil, set in beautiful woodland. Wish we could have stayed longer to take advantage of the lovely looking pool and hot tubs. The staff were very welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful time. Would love to return and would definitely recommend to anyone wishing to get away for a relaxing break in a beautiful location.

An absolute Gem. One of the most outstanding locations we have ever found. Peace and tranquility in abundance. Made all the better by the quality of the food; probably the best meals we have had in any hotel or guest house, ever. The staff could not have been more welcoming or friendly. The on-site hot tubs and swimming pool made the experience all the more relaxing as did the opportunity for Spa treatments. The owner, Philip, told us that a large majority of his customers were returners. Not surprised to hear that. We will be too in the future.

Stayed here for 3 nights . Room is situated behind the office . It was dirty, lots of cobwebs and smelt damp. I had to move a chair and there were leaves and dirt underneath. We had a half opened bottle of water and when my husband took it to the owner he seemed surprised we wanted a fresh unopened one. The shower was dangerous and bits fell off it. It was up a step and slippy. The floor was dirty. I had to wipe it because it was so wet and the cloth was filthy. The fridge was dirty . The coffee tray never refreshed . There were constant cars up and down. The bathroom has a privacy film on the windows but there are gaps up the sides so people can see in. The curtains are hanging down and stained . The hot tub we used once . It isn’t private as people walk past all the time and it wasn’t clean. There was dirt in the bottom of it. We used the pool once and were told to shower before we went in. The shower was dirty and old. The pool had a film on the surface and again was dirty . Breakfast was ok. But your food is put out before you arrive . Not sure how long it was there. There are some cabins obviously now privately owned and it seemed very much them and us. The track down to the hotel is full of potholes and has to be taken carefully. We visited some years ago and stayed in Bramble suite which at the time was lovely but now the whole place just seems run down. It’s expensive for what it is and for someone who has auto immune and allergies I came home with a bad chest and can only think it was the dirty water in the hot tub or pool . The sauna didn’t work either. The tv was an old box and had to be coaxed into working .

This is our sixth visit to Felbrigg Lodge. We go back for the peace and quiet, the amazing food and the tranquil gardens. Everyone always makes us very welcome and we love to stay to further explore the wonderful Norfolk coast and countryside. This morning when I drew back the curtains at Felbrigg there was a baby deer and its mother a few yards from the bedroom window - very special! The birdsong was delightful too.
