Trout Chalet - Nottely Riverfront, Starlink w/ Roku TV, Easy River Access

The property is absolutely beautiful!! The cabin has big beautiful windows. The porches are stunning and so is the gazebo. This is the perfect place for those who love the outdoors! It is extremely peaceful!

Everything we needed was there. Even a bottle opener. The host, Kevin, was so cool and prompt in calling with any questions or concerns. The property was beautiful!!! The home was SO comfortable including the bed. The wrap around porch and seating was perfect for listening and watching the river with morning coffee. My favorite part was the Brita water filter pitcher that was filled awaiting our arrival! Thank you! The Cherokee Fishing Trap was awesome to see.

Mothersday get away Very relaxing, love being beside the water, and quiet!

A very tranquil and adventurous Getaway! We had an amazing time at the Trout Chalet! The kids enjoyed the table games and puzzles while we were there.The fire pit in the evening was a delight and kept us warm while cooking marshmallows.The Notelly River was low tide the first day of so then it was high tide and running through the sounds of the water hitting the rocks or the low branches was very relaxing to hear.Kevin is a great host and very communicative as well. As per previous reviews the private road getting in to the property is a bit of a challenge and I’m glad we rented a Wagoneer that is an all wheel drive. Once you travel it a few times you get used to it.

GREAT WiFi - Great experience The Trout Chalet was everything we had hoped it would be. The owners went above and beyond to warn us about potential road closures with Helene on the way. They made checking out early very easy. The river is beautiful and unfortunately we didn’t have time to fish. We were in town to work and the WiFi was perfect! other reviewers stated that you needed 4WD. We did have Jeeps. The locals have regulars cars and make it in and out every day. We didn’t think it was hard to find or difficult to get to. The cabin has everything stocked that you would ever need. For those who complained about the sheets, I would rather put on clean sheets than sleep in a bed in which the sheets may have been on for days if the cabin hasn’t been rented. We thought everything was perfect.

Fun at the river! Cozy house, easy river access. All the essentials for a quick get away.

Beautiful location The location is indeed beautiful. The road leading to the cabin is rugged, narrow and rough in places, but worth it if you have a SUV. Not so sure a regular vehicle would make it. The cabin was nice and clean. It does need some updates. If you’re interested in preparing your own meals, the cookware there is not recommended. The water smells of sulfur, but it is well water and hard. We had problems getting the door to unlock upon arrival and even after the owner having the batteries changed, the door never locked when we went out daily. It is a very safe area, but still…. The cabin is not luxury but adequate. The wood burning fireplace was a plus and we had a fire every morning and night. If you’re looking for a plush cabin this is not the place. If you’re looking for an affordable and comfortable place to stay while you spend the days exploring, this is the place. There are some repairs that need to be made. Some as simple as light bulbs in the laundry room and living area. The owner was quick to reply with the difficulties we had with the door lock and easy to deal with. We enjoyed our stay, the location was indeed beautiful but would we go back, unfortunately no.

Beautiful getaway The property is beautiful and fantastic. It had everything we needed. The mile drive on the dirt road was a bit rough. We had had a great deal of rain the 24 hours prior to our departure and I was fearful the I would not be able to get out, but the road held up just fine!
