We would have expected more for a 5-star hotel. The floor around the pool bar always looked dirty due to old stains from the dates in the palm trees. For the price I paid, I would have expected at least the soft drinks in the room to be free, instead of charging a whopping 6 euros for them. The prices are far too high overall. A cocktail served in a martini glass cost 18 euros! Dinner buffet per person 65 euros WITHOUT drinks, far too much, at least soft drinks and maybe a table wine could have been included. Breakfast was the same every morning. We know from 4-star hotels that there is also, for example, a glass of prosecco for self-service - unfortunately not here. The evening program (music) was always too loud for the small area and the number of guests present. In the room we missed hooks to air out worn clothes, and a line or clothes rack for wet swimwear would have been nice on the balcony too. Even in our current 4-star hotel there is a small clothes rack on the balcony! Unfortunately we won't be coming back.

The hotel is about a five-minute drive from Villasimius, 65 minutes from Cagliari Airport, and around 75 minutes from Cagliari itself. After turning off the main road at a roundabout, you drive down a short dirt track with signage for reception. Guests enter through a gate and park in front of the hotel. Check-in was straightforward — we arrived at 12:30, waited about 10 minutes, and were then upgraded. ⸻ First Impressions & Design The hotel’s interior design is questionable — the lobby furniture is mismatched, and the colour choices feel jarring rather than stylish. The terrace above the dining area offers pleasant views of the pool, however. ⸻ Room We stayed in Room 1011, a ground-level room with a terrace facing the inner courtyard. This can be noisy when other guests are on phone calls, as sound echoes. • Design: cupboard doors decorated in bright abstract green patterns (Sardinian weave style), and an unusual green-and-white ethnic-style headboard. • Beds: one double and one single. • Amenities: one small bottle of water per day (insufficient, especially with a coffee machine), four Nespresso capsules, glasses, and wine glasses. Storage space was good. • Bathroom: spacious, with two sinks, large shower, bidet, toiletries, and a window for ventilation. • Terrace: table and two chairs (both scratched and aged), sandy floor that wasn’t regularly swept. ⸻ Spa & Facilities The spa was disappointing. • Pool: seawater at 34°C, but many hydro-pressure points did not work. • Steam rooms: no cold shower nearby, making them uncomfortable to use. • Salt room: relaxing. • Noise: loud compressor spoiled the ambience. • Cost: €45 felt excessive given the condition. Bicycles were available, but of the six, four had flat tyres and were unusable. Despite reporting this, they weren’t repaired the next day. ⸻ Breakfast Breakfast was busy and service inconsistent. • Coffee: machine coffee was poor; barista coffee only average. • Food: fruit was fresh, and the juice station (though with long queues) was good. Pastries and cakes were clearly factory-made. Cold cuts and bread seemed supermarket-quality. Hot food was underwhelming — bacon not crispy, sausages average, baked beans tasted odd, scrambled eggs bland. The omelette station was particularly disappointing: instead of proper omelettes, they used pancake batter. ⸻ Pool & Beach The pool is large with plenty of space and well-spaced sunbeds, including some in the gardens for quieter relaxation. The beach is about a five-minute walk away, or you can take the buggy. The sand and sea here are truly stunning — one of the best in the Mediterranean. • Sunbeds: front two rows cost extra (€90 and €60 per day). These come with padded loungers and tables. Free sunbeds from the third row back are close together and less comfortable. • Ambience: water aerobics at 11:30 and fitness sessions at 16:00 add activity but may disturb those seeking a peaceful beach day. ⸻ Gym The gym has dated equ

The resort was great, friendly staff and excellent facilities. The restaurant prices are quite high but we the food quality was good. The beach club was an added bonus although, the comfortable sun beds with cushions were only for people who had suites and were mostly empty while the majority of people had to sit from row 3 back, on beds with no padding. The pool was excellent and the resort was very family orientated . There were a lot of children and families having a good time. There was entertainment every night and a range of different singers. A special mention to Guilia on reception and Umberto at the beach restaurant. Overall I would recommend this resort and would go back. It is about a 30 minute walk into town which had a great vibe especially at night .

We stayed here for 4 nights and had a great time. I really wanted to give this place 5 stars but got pulled down by a couple of elements. The positives; Nice big resort with heaps of room to spread out. The beach is stunning and one of the best that I’ve been to. Private beach club at the beach is very good. The staff are mostly super friendly The rooms are very nice size and super clean The free buggy transfer to beach works really well The negatives Breakfast is big but nothing with substance, all food average and nothing great. Charging $95 Euros for a front row chair at the beach. I understand there should be some charge but believe it’s overpriced. Charging $15 Euros for an Aperol Spritz. I’m from Australia, that’s almost $30 in my currency! I had booked a couples massage at the spa 2 months in advance and received confirmation. 2 hours before, once we organised our whole day around the massages, I received a call that they have to cancel. One of the therapist is sick I was told, which I can understand can happen but then I asked about why is the whole thing cancelled and not just for one of us, as its for a couples massage, she said both therapist were sick, which sounds like a massive coincidence! This didn’t leave a good last impression to us. Lastly, I know it’s been mentioned in other reviews, would be great to bring back the shuttle bus to Villasimius town, even at a small fee. Paying $30-40 euro for a return trip for taxis for a 5 minute trip is excessive. They offer free bikes to ride into town but it’s not really safe at night to do this, dark un surfaced roads

What a wonderful place to stay, we were upgraded to room 3120, which was lovely, on the ground floor, double aspect windows with French doors opening out to a large balcony. It was spotless and the service was impeccable. You also got a free bottle of water daily. All the staff at the hotel were helpful and courteous and friendly. There is a private beach that belongs to the hotel, it is a 10 min walk away or you can get a buggy which is constantly running. The sunbeds and towels at the beach are free, except for the 2 front rows and there is a café there for drinks etc. The only downside was the toilets, there are none at the beach itself, you have to walk 2 mins to the restaurant and use those. The hotel is Grand, a 30 minute was to the main town that has lots of restaurants and shops. The walk isn't a bad one if you like walking as it's pretty flat, it's nice to walk a meal off. We ate a couple of times at the hotel, the first night we went to the pizza restaurant, which was a fun experience as you get to try lots of different pizzas. Another night we ate at the restaurant by the beach, which I thought was very good and not badly priced. The pool area is nice and immaculate, there are no toilets by the pool either, you have to go to the spa, which was a bit inconvenient. Every night there was some kind of entertainment, a disco, or star gazing, all different things. I would defiantly recommend this resort as we had such a wonderful time.

We stayed at this hotel from the 3rd to the 10th of September 2025, we arrived later than we should and only just managed to have a meal from the buffet that was included in our Half Board, unfortunately, there was not much left, but had to make do, our room was lovely, a superior Bayside room, very spacious and comfortable, and on the ground floor, we ate at the Buffet restaurant most nights, which was included in our Half Board package, and the food was excellent, themed nights, and 5 star food, which for a Buffett is mostly uncommon these days, breakfast in the same restaurant was also a great level, plenty to choose from, we never really needed lunch after a great breakfast, we never tried the solar restaurant or the pool bar food, but we did eat at the outdoor Pizza restaurant, which is a tasting menu, wasn't too sure about this, the pizzas we lovely, but 10 x slices of different pizzas each served in 30mins, was a bit to much, prefer the traditional way of ordering the pizza that you want, at least that way you also know you will like what you get, or even a card at the end of your meal to rate each slice of pizza, we also had an al Carte meal at Ginepri, which is close to the beach, its not included in the half Board package, but if you are staying for longer than 4 nights you get 30 Euros per person off the meal, which is really 27 Euros as they charge a cover fee of 3 Euros each, but again the food was amazing, and was a lovely last night evening. The staff were very friendly, and helpful as much as possible with some broken English, The lifeguards were the only ones who were not very engaging, again, maybe a language barrier, but not once did we get our Umbrellas opened of a morning, when everyone else around us did. we did do a Quad Biking trip, 3 hours into the hills, and this was great and a extremely friendly guy who took us. Lastly we went to the beach twice, private and public beach, the sea water is lovely, and we chose to lay on the free beds, we were comfortable enough, if you want the front row beds they are charged at 90 euros, and the second row is 65 euros, We would definitely come back to this hotel again, and are already looking at bringing family back next year., well done Almar Timi Ama, a great Holiday..

Guests can reach Timi Ama beach with a 5-minute walk or with the hotel’s free electric land train. It is very usefull. Superior Double Rooms with Garden View are very modern and comfortable. Great restaurant. I highly recommend it.

A stunning resort with a beautiful private beach, courts for tennis, volleyball and padel, and swimming pool. The restaurants at this resort were excellent and the room service was top notch. Overall, the experience and ambiance were perfect, and didn’t make us feel like we missed out on seeing the rest of Sardinia.

We were here for the second week of a two week Italian vacation. Resort was breathtaking. Well maintained and served our needs as we had hoped. Morning breakfast buffet is included and did not disappoint. Everything from smoothies plenty of fruit dairy and breads. Omelette station was very good. My only disappointment was the very overpriced dinner buffet. We stayed in one night and for $70 a person not including drinks the value received for the fee was poor at best. I would suggest anyone staying here to walk the 1 mile to the marina and pick one of the two excellent restaurants. We ate at Delia three times and for $60 we got a three course meal with desert and two drinks for $60. Much better value. Other than that this resort is outstanding.
