Sonesta Simply Suites Detroit Novi

I recently stayed at Sonesta Simply Suites in Novi, Michigan and had a great experience. The staff was very friendly and welcoming from check-in to check-out, always willing to help with anything I needed. The rooms were newly renovated, very clean, and comfortable, which made the stay even more enjoyable. The hotel’s location was also very convenient and close to the event I was attending, making it easy to get back and forth without any hassle. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the Novi area.

Not only will they call the police on you the place has roaches.

I was a returning customer, had a good experience a few months ago, unsure why the hotel went downhill quickly. Location is nice but the hotel needs serious renovation. Dirty room, dirty hallway, room that smelled like cigarette smoke. I complained about the smell & was given a new room (thank you for that) but the 2nd room was very dirty. I won't be returning to this location.

Carpet was dirty, especially in elevator. Had to trade in dirty towels at office for clean ones. Entire parking lot smelled like pot.

We came here for a 4 day stay in August 2025. This particular Sonesta Suites hotel in Novi is terrible. We took photos to share with management of what we saw. Not cleaned well and very dated. We wanted to leave immediately. When we complained we were referred the the Sonesta hotel next door which is much nicer but didn’t have availability we needed for a two bedroom Suite. Crystal an employee went out of her way to find us another Sonesta hotel in the area. We ended up booking the Sonesta ES suites in Auburn Hills which is great. Honestly we were so disappointed with the hotel in Novi that we would have never traveled to another Sonesta hotel again if it wasn’t for the reassurance and professionalism we received from Crystal. Sonesta in Novi refunded our money and we transferred that money to the other Sonesta ES hotel in Auburn Hills and were very happy. Sonesta you need to promote Crystal or give her a raise. That kind of customer service is not seen very often. She is a gem.

The RUDEST STAFF AND HOTEL. I was trying to help a friend going through a tough time. I got her a room for the night and thought it would not be an issue to pay with a credit card by phone. They let me make the booking and wait until she TRIES TO CHECK IN, tell her she can’t, it’s against their “policy” — how do people make reservations for others out of town? I’ve never heard of something like this and I am in business. It was discriminatory. They disrespected a very kind person so much she called me crying— they charged me a cancellation fee (they wouldn’t let me do it over the phone once she was there and ready) and she left. And they are still charging me not only for the room but the fee. I call to clear it up— four times now— nothing. DO NOT STAY HERE OR SUPPORT THIS PLACE.
