Holiday Inn Express NUNEATON by IHG

This our 2nd short stay after 3 weeks from the first in early April. Like the location and simple set up. Registration was brisk and staff are friendly.

This was a very last minute booking after our original booking was not fulfilled. Check in was smooth and a bonus that we got to check out at 12 midday which worked well for our schedule ahead.

I booked this hotel for a weekend stay whilst I was mainly visiting the area for a poker event that was at the nearby Grosvenor ****** in the CBS Stadium and I have to say that the hotel exceeded my expectations. There was free onsite parking next to a Starbucks and minutes walk from a McDonalds. Breakfast was included in the price of the stay which I thought was great value to start with and actually the breakfast and variety on offer were very good. Reception and bar was also 24 hr and I was able to check in and easily get my room when not arriving until 3am in the morning. What impressed me the most about the hotel though was the staff and the service which I have to say were excellent! I had regular whatsapp msgs from the hotel to confirm my stay and details and when I replied about checking in late and also my friend arriving a day later than me; the response was immediate and helpful. We also came down for breakfast a bit late on the Monday, not realising that breakfast finished half an hour earlier on a weekday, but yet the staff were so accomodating to make sure we both had all the food and drink we wanted even when some of it had already been cleared away. I also saw the same offered to other guests previous mornings during my stay and I was really impressed by just the overall level of customer service to go above and beyond to make sure their guests had everything they needed. The room was basic but very clean and perfectly functional with the addition of a kettle and tea/coffee making and the beds were pretty comfortable. Overall the stay was perfect for what we needed and the overall convenience and service for the amount paid was superb value for money. Would highly recommend and have only taken the time to write a lengthy review because I was genuinely pleasantly surprised. Thank you Holiday Inn Express Nuneaton
