The hotel is absolutely amazing. It’s very quiet, peaceful with small and cozy territory where you can find animals just walking around. The staff was so hospitable and helped us book the trip to Mnemba island. I really enjoyed lying on the deck and watching the water rising, the best part for me was swimming right off the stairs of the hotel (once the water is up). The walk on the beach was also very pleasant :)

Probably the best location at Nungui beach. Walking distance to any major location at hungry and also close to the center of the attraction as well. Plenty of rooms available but you should stick with Ocean view rooma even though it is going to be a little bit more expensive. You will not regret your choice

We stayed here in June 2025. The hotel is wonderful, the rooms are large and well-maintained. There are rooms in the garden next to the pool, and there are rooms with ocean views. The view from them is stunning. Breakfasts are ordinary, quite decent. From the restaurant there is a direct descent into the ocean. Beach towels are provided, changed if necessary.

The quaint courtyard is shaded by trees, where guinea fowl and dik-dik forage in the shade. Just ten meters from the main entrance is the beach and restaurant. The staff are friendly and helpful, and their response time is very fast. The commercial street and restaurants outside the hotel are ablaze with lights at night! This is the most affordable and beautiful hotel I've found on Sang Island! We loved it and highly recommend it to everyone!

Сам по себе интерьер конечно достаточно спецефичен, ну или аутентичен:) сервис средний, никто откровенно не филонит, но и не напрягается. Номер убирали хорошо. Кровать жесткая, но судя по всему на занзибаре в основном такие. Завтраки - пойдет. Не вау, но голодными не останетесь. Представление о кухне и еде прям занзибарское: горячее и ладно😄 поэтому многого не ждите. Есть бассеин и очень зеленая территория аки мини-джунгли, но все немного подзапущенно, никто не заморачивается по поводу чистоты и аккуратности. Все в таком естественном виде, где какой лист упал, там и лежит. Обломалась веточка с дерева? Это ее проблемы😄 Чувствуется, что здесь работают и управляют отелем чисто местные, вообще без понимания какой-то мировой практики о Гостинничного бизнесса. В целом думаю это к лучшему. Для первого посещения Занзибара - прекрасный выбор.

We paid extra to get a 2nd floor sea facing room with a balcony which was really worth it!!! The swimming pool was clean and a welcome escape from the mid-day heat. On the deck I really don't like the way loungers get booked by 7am and then sit empty all day - that should not be allowed. Staff are helpful and pleasant, rooms cleaned on time with bottled water in the bar fridge. The supermarket around the corner sells spirits and wine which you can drink on the property as they only serve soft drinks and beer. Lots of great restaurants within walking distance to try / would highly recommend SEXY FISH!!!

Four enjoyable evenings at Langi Langi on Nungwi Beach. One room on the water front and another in the bungalows around the pool with the wild Dik-diks. Great location for a beach vacation. Clear water that was great for swimming in and protected from the boats. The beach boys eventually give up.

I booked directly with head office from a recommendation, actually paid more than *********** Head office didn’t care once they got my money I arrived at the hotel at 11:15pm & was shown to my room It was up 18 steep stone steps, its a good job that I am a relatively fit 67 year old The room itself was adequate although the bed was so hard that the floor was inviting The mosquito net doesn’t look like it has been washed in years The chambermaid for some reason made the bed tucking half of the sheet & blanket under the bed making it look like the bed was made for a dwarf instead of a 6 foot man First morning I had the fruit platter & a cheese & tomato omelette made with 1 egg because it was like a pancake The head chef walked around with exposed dreadlocks down past his rear & wore the same swimming baggies for the 6 days that I was there I’ve been a chef for over 40 years & I always like to see the kitchen Glad that I did because I never had anything for breakfast apart from fresh fruit & coffee The urn that they served the coffee in was stained & not seen a good wash in months The staff although friendly & helpful walk around in old uniforms Getting back to the restaurant the tables & furniture in general needs attention This is 2 stars at the most Quite pitiful really I won’t be returning

We loved it! A place full of charm and quirkyness, perfect for people who don’t want shiny marble and inpersonal perfection. Right on top of the turqoise beach, overlooking the sea. Quiet sunbed area without vendors. Friendly staff, and the great Rastafari owner, a former drummer for a variety of great artists, was a true character. Chatted with us all, and baked lovely cakes every day for breakfast. Our room had air condition and was cleaned every day, and we had a nice balcony overlooking the lovely garden and pool. We slept so well, on the hard beds! The only reason we don’t give it five stars, is the food. Although it was ok, it was not great. But there are other restaurants right next door. All in all, a perfect place to stay, we highly recommend it!

Worse rooms , terrible manager , rude and arrogant dirty rooms , showers not working , washrooms stuck, bad small rooms, local hotels are better than this don’t come . I had booked 3 rooms and just spoiled my kids vacation.

We spent a month at Langi Langi in Nov/December 2024. We had a fantastic time and this was due largely to the wonderful staff. Pauline on reception was the first person we met, on reception and she was so friendly. All the staff were very friendly and polite. The rooms were so clean, and comfortable. The restaurant had the best view, and the food was beautiful, fresh and home cooked. We often had fish that had been caught just hours earlier and it was so tasty. Breakfast was tasty, there were omelettes, bruschetta, fruit, cereal, cakes, juices, prepared to order. Toast, cake, so much variety. The absolute star of the show is Rasta, the owner. Always had time to chat, and also to help out and give his staff a hand, be it clearing tables, or cooking the freshly caught fish, it says it all, he respected his staff, his staff were happy, and that showed in the way they treated customers. The location is absolutely perfect. You are just steps from the wonderful beach with gorgeous sunsets and a clear blue sea. There is a beautiful pool in the grounds that is very clean and has plenty of shade if you don’t like the sea and sand. We can recommend Langi Langi so highly, and we are going back again this year. In 10 months time. Counting down the days already. Thank you to every member of staff, the cleaners, the waiters, security staff. You made our holiday wonderful. Emma and David.

As previous reviews have mentioned, this hotel is old, dated and desperately in need of updating. Our room on the top floor had amazing views over the sea (the sunset was stunning) but the room itself was pretty grim. The first room was unclean to the point we refused to accept it and requested a different room (which was cleaner, thankfully). The bathroom was dated and not particularly pleasant to use. The bed was ok and the air con was great. Wifi was slightly unreliable. Access to the room was via steep steps (staff didn't offer to help with luggage). The pool area was....weird. It was set back in the garden section of the hotel and it felt a bit dark and unclean. We didn't see anyone use it during our stay. Breakfast was very basic,but staff at breakfast were friendly, as were the cleaners. Reception staff were not particularly friendly or engaging. Would not recommend.

Langi Langi is in desperate need of upgrading to compete with the other hotels neighbouring,. The food is very basic and the wifi is worse than intermittent, no good if you’re needing to work a few hours per day as speed is too slow and most of the time not working. When checking out and finalising my bill I was charged 5% charge for my card payment, it seems that there is no set limit for charges so either pay in cash or challenge the percentage. The view from the bar / restaurant is truly amazing to watch the boAts go by and of course the wonderful sunsets.

This is a nice no frills hotel with great location. Staff are friendly especially Salah who will go out of his way to help guests with anything. The hotel has a wonderful garden with Dik Diks, Guinea Foul, a monkey, and probably a lot more. It’s like waking up in a jungle so serene and beautiful. The pool is also located in the Garden. Rooms are basic but clean bathrooms could be updated. A/C worked well and the rooms also have a ceiling fan. Breakfast at the restaurant is ok, it is a la carte not a buffet. We had lunch once at the restaurant and the food was great. Location is wonderful, lots to do and other places you can walk to. Overall a very good experience at this hotel.
