Up to now, it’s a new and looks clean

I made reservations at this hotel several months before a big rowing event in March 2026. I was already traveling to Oak Ridge when I was contacted by email-not even a call-to tell me that my reservation was canceled. I had to scramble to find a last minute hotel in town. I had a second reservation at the hotel for another rowing event next week in April. I called the hotel last week and spoke with the manager, Amanda. I explained what had happened to me last month and she guaranteed me that they would not be canceling my room. I even asked if I could pay for it at that point. She told me not to worry and that my reservation would be guaranteed.Today I called just to check and ask again if I could pre-pay and I was informed that my reservation had already been canceled. It turns out according to the staff that they have a problem where they over book on all of the dates and then have to call and cancel people last minute. I find this practice completely unacceptable and would discourage everyone from going to this hotel which is in the practice of making fraudulent reservations.

My husband and I stayed here this past weekend. I very seldom do these reviews but felt this one was necessary. First off, when checking in we hear the agent telling her boss that they were over booked by 2 rooms, meaning 2 parties would not be getting a room they had booked in good faith. Second, the toilet in our room had NOT been cleaned. Wish I had taken pictures There was feces on the seat and when we lifted the seat up, there was crap all around the seat. If I had not packed lysol with me, we would have left. But since we had lysol wipes, we cleaned it. I won't do that again! Third, the bathroom lighting is minimal, very dim. Fourth, the shower can barely be called a shower. The water is a very soft small stream of water. If you have long hair you will never get it rinsed out. Hope this review helps someone. We won't be back.

Very disappointed that I booked a room with my daughter in early-April, only to find out two days prior to check-in that our reservation was cancelled because "our extended stays have extended which has led us to not have the availability to accommodate you at this time". After finding out our reservation was cancelled, we then had to re-book at a different property much pricier and much further away from the event we are attending. It just stinks that people who stay beyond their reserved date are able to have people who reserved a specific date to be pushed out. Bad management practice in my opinion.

My favorite place to stay in Oak Ridge! Manager is often first person to greet you at front desk. Staff is friendly and professional. Room was spacious and had a large counter area with chairs where I could spread all my paperwork. Marriot bedding is always cozy.

This was a great hotel to stay at. We were in town for the Secret City Half Marathon and chose this hotel last minute. It was easy to find and close to everything. The 2 front desk agents that we saw Friday night and Saturday were both phenomenal. They were super friendly and accommodating. The room was spacious and very clean. The bed and pillows were super comfortable and the bath towels were extremely soft. A few changes I would suggest. Curtains or shades need to be over the blinds because as soon as the sun comes up it is sooooo bright. There needs to be plug ins for USB and regular items on the nightstand between the beds. Soap and shampoo would be nice as well since there was none for the shower. These were all minor things that if you know about ahead of time they aren't a make or break. We would absolutely stay there again!
