La Quinta Inn & Suites

I think the CEO should pay a visit and experience some embarrassment viewing this place. The main problem by far is that right in the street in front of the hotel, there is a homeless encampment comprising half a dozen knackered RVs, broken cars, old sofas and such. I don’t see any drunks or ***** but there is noise and huge mess and it is not safe to walk out at night (as advised by the desk staff). That aside, the hotel is quite shabby and run-down. The hall carpet needs replacing, and to be honest, the whole place needs a renovation. Several of the laundry machines were broken. The hot tub of the pool is out of use. The water fountain also out of use. The breakfast is OK for a budget US hotel but it produces an ungodly amount of single-use plastic waste. The pantry has barely anything in it. Due to the local area, if you don’t have a car, the only solution is to call takeaway for lunch and dinner. If you have a car, try another hotel nearby for dinner! There are several options. The room is outdated but comfortable but could be cleaner—it’s dusty and there are crumbs and stuff. Overall one of the most disappointing hotels I ever stayed in and a shame on the Wyndham brand.

I had to change rooms because the locks and keys were not responsive. There is no breakfast!!! Elevator needs to be updated. Maintenance not available after a certain time. Front desk at night are nice and approachable.

The hotel is in a very sketchy area. They don’t allow cars coming in and homeless are camping in the front. Old rooms with a weird smell.

Location is not pleasant! Homeless around the hotel!

Never in your life stay in this hotel or take your family to it. I had a reservation (88917EE069718), and arrived around 7 pm. The receptionist stays locked in place for his safety. I didn't feel safe, the neighborhood looked like the Walking D3ad. They don't serve breakfast anymore as advertised. I went to my room on the 2nd floor, there was a couple smoking w33d with their door open right in front of my room. By the way, the hotel smells of m4riju4na. I asked them to cancel my reservation (at no cost) and immediately made another reservation at La Quinta in Dublin. I drove more than 30 minutes to get there. Asked the hotel in Oakland to not charge any cancelation fee (I did not cancel, it was impossible to stay in that hotel), but they refused and charged me the cancelation fee. PLEASE REFUND. Not in a good location of town. Website states it has an airport shuttle and free breakfast, it had neither. The bedding was threadbare and the limited amenities were closed or under repair. Wouldn't stay here again if you paid me. Caveat Emptor
