On my way from Vienna to Ljubljana, Motel 24x7 saved me from spending the night in my car. I arrived after midnight and got my card from the machine in less than five minutes. Everything is well thought out, and I was surprised by the large size of the room and the minimalist but modern decoration. The lighting is not very cozy. It’s basic, but the room has everything you need for a comfortable night’s stay. I just had a problem with the AC during the night—it wasn’t working until 5 a.m. The room became damp, heavy, and warm before it finally kicked in. In the morning, I had a coffee from the machine in the lobby, but it was instant coffee, which was really disgusting. That’s too bad. Otherwise, even if it’s a bit expensive for the value, it remains a good option for a stop on a long road trip. I’m very impressed by the concept—it’s very efficient. The parking lot is large enough to accommodate at least one car per room, so there’s a good chance you’ll find a free spot available when you book a room at this hotel. Parking is also totally free.
