The conference hotel Seminaris in Bad Honnef was built in 1986 and offers 211 rooms over 5 floors. There are 18 large meeting rooms, restaurant, bar, swimming pool and sauna. Staffs are friendly and welcoming. In the lobby of the hotel there is a stele of a mounted Roman soldier. At walking distance you find the Rhine River and the Drachsenfels where Siegfried – the hero of the Nibelungen – killed the dragon Fáfnir. Our room was adequately furnished and decorated with desk, chair & safe, flat-screen TV and wardrobe. We had a good twin bed, and a separate bathroom with toilet, washroom & shower. All was clean. The window can be open but has no mosquito screen. Free Wi-Fi Internet. No free coffee & tea nor free parking. The buffet breakfast is OK with ample variety: powder based scrambled eggs, cold cuts, bread and rolls, juices, cereals, fruit, milk, yoghurt, fruit juice, tea & coffee. The atmosphere in the Seminaris hotel is conference & business style and we had an OK stay.

Exakt ein Jahr nach einem ”Mädels”-Wochenende mit meiner besten Freundin verbrachten wir diesmal mit unseren Männern vom 12.-14.05.2023 in den Superior-Rheinblick-Zimmern 304 und 306 eine schöne Zeit im stilvollen ”Maritim”-Königswinter mit dem spektakulären Blick auf den Rhein. Wir genossen alle unseren Aufenthalt mit aufrichtig freundlich zugewandten Mitarbeitern der meisten Bereiche sehr, haben allerdings ein paar Anmerkungen und Verbesserungsvorschlöge. Obwohl ich bereits bei der Buchung den unverbindlichen Wunsch”oberste Etage” angegeben hatte, sollten wir beim Einchecken Zimmer in der ersten Etage bekommen. Nach entsprechendem Hinweis erhielten wir problemlos o.g. Zimner mit o.g. Blick. Die Superior-Zimmer haben neben dem Rheinblick auch eine Nespresso-Maschine. Ich persönlich würde mir als reine Tee-Trinkerin ergänzend einen Wasserkocher und eine Auswahl an Tee wünschen. Erfahrungsgemäß hatte ich meinen Wasserkocher und Teebeutel mitgenommen. Im Bad unserer Freunde waren bei Ankunft unter dem Waschtisch unangenehm aussehende Flecken auf den Fliesen, die nach Hinweis umgehend entfernt wurden. Wir freuten uns, dass das Wetter mitspielte und wir beide als Arrangement gebuchten Abendessen auf der Rheinterasse im Sonnenuntergang genießen konnten. Leider hatte das Restaurant am 13.05.2023 nur wenige Reservierungen für den Abend, so dass uns ein 3-gängiges reines Spargel-Menü angeboten wurde, was für 2 von uns keine Option bot, da wir keinen Spargel essen. Zudem hatten wir uns alle auf das umfangreiche ”Maritim”-Abendbuffet gefreut und wären gerne zuvor informiert worden. Unser Vorschlag, den wir der überaus aufmerksamen und freundlichen AZUBI Larissa machten war, ein bis zwei weitere 3-Gang-Menüs anzubieten, damit jeder Gast unkompliziert zufrieden gestellt werden kann. Was uns ebenfalls betrübt hat und was wir im vergangenen Jahr besser erlebt haben, war der, bei einer überschaubaren Bar-Ausnutzung nicht wirklich interessierte und unprofessionelle Barkeeper. Ich hätte mir mehr Informationen zu dem mir unbekannten Gin gewünscht und bei meinem späteren Getränkewunsch Piňa Colada Vergin war sein Hinweis, dass er keine Sahne darin mag und ich statt dessen Batida de Coco darin nehmen sollte absolut unangebracht. Am 2. Abend suchten wir daher zum Abendausklang eine Lokalität in der Altstadt auf. Schade! Nichtsdestotrotz lieben wir das ”Maritim”-Klnigswinter und kommen sicher wieder!

We stayed at this hotel for three nights in April 2022 during a family & friends reunion trip in my old hometown. Our Junior Suite # 107 was comfortable with scenic views on the river Rhine. One could have just sit on his bed and stare out of the window for hours. Sleeping quality was excellent and the bathroom - though on the smaller side - spotlessly clean. What we missed was a small shelf in bathroom, which could be easily installed above the toilet for example. Now we had to keep our wash bags on the desk in the room, what is not really convenient. Also towels are a bit small and there are no bigger ones available - even on request. The room itself is functional, sufficiently clean, however, a little more attention to detail is recommended, mainly the floor would need some more intense cleanup prior to arrival next time. Breakfast was ok, not exceptional, but what you can expect from a 4* city hotel. Service was friendly. The location is one of a kind, super central in one of Bonn's nicest parts, calm, but still sufficiently close to many sights and attractions. The city centre with its pittoresque pedestranian area and the univeristy are right next door or just a few minutes walk away. Another big plus was the staff, especially Mrs. Müller and the receptionist from Columbia, who went above and beyond to make our stay the most convenient. We didnt manage to dine in the Olveto restaurant, since we had pre-organised dinners every evening, but will attempt to manage next time. The garage at 18 € per night may appear pricey to some, but it is definitely worth it, given how difficult it is to find a parking space in this area of Bonn. Overall, we had a very good stay, the views, the gentle staff and location prevail over the few small caveats we encountered during our visit. Whenever we come back to Bonn for an overnight stay, we will try to get a room at the Hotel Königshof, again.

We stayed at Steigenberger Hotel for one night, and at the entrance it was exactly how you would expect a five star hotel. Friendly and helpful staff, that can help you where and when needed. Though when we got to the room itself we had a little unpleasant surprise. The room itself was nice, good view over the Rhine and the interior is nice. But when I dropped my phone and it fell under the bed, I went to pick it up and underneath the bed was a dirty tissue with a substance on it that looked to be semen. Also when I shined my flashlight under it to take a video of it, I found a pair of socks from the previous guests. This indicates the room was not really cleaned properly. There also was a lot of dust on the bedside tables, and a lot underneath the bed (which I myself don’t mind as it’s a hard place to vacuum). Not really up to the high five star standard, but the rest was really good. Nice views with a good bed and spacious room. The Biergarten is also beautiful, especially at sunset. I have to give it 4/5 because of the stuff we found in the room, for the rest it was a very pleasant stay.

I was yesterday at Jufa Hotel in Königswinter with my girlfriend we was there at 15:30 and we had to wait for our room until 16 normaly but they said it’s not ready yet and we had to wait until 16:30 and the receptionist was so unfriendly. I booked the room with a balcony extra because we was both smokers and we wanted that,after we got the keys on went to the room and there was 3 single beds and without a balcony so i had to go back to the receptionist and tell her what i booked and she said oh yeah i know that but the room you booked is smelling bad and because of that i gave you the keys of the other room that is really bad for a hotel with 4 stars because she could tell me the problem before giving me the keys so i said can we have the keys of the room that i booked for and just check if it’s smelling that bad and she gave me i went there and it was really smelling bad,and i found out why is smelling like that it was because of the blankets one of them wasn’t changed so i took it in the balcony and i went to the receptionist to tell her why is the smelling she said oh okay i’ll give you another blanket in 2 minutes at your room so that blanket never came and i had to sleep with my clothes on because we had no blankets. Out of that a 4 stars hotel without a telephone inside the room to contact receptionist i don’t think i ever was on one,and of course without some water or something to welcome us paid 125 euro for one night i guess that’s too much to not respect the clients. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great place for business purpose or just pleasure. Very nice and humble staff. Overwhelming welcome and service throughout the stay. Amazing swimming pool, wellness, gym and bar area. Just a small thing there is room for improvement in the restaurant area with the Menu. Maybe there can be a better variety of food offered by them. All in all wonderful hotel with a very pleasant atmosphere. I loved it. I am very satisfied.

We stayed for a couple of nights at the Kameha Grand in Bonn. The location is great for walking and cycling and about 15 mins drive from the centre of Bonn on the other sider of the river. Lots of very safe cycle paths everywhere. Our junior suite was large and very comfortable. Strangely, the mini-bar was empty, but I did not find out why. The styling would not be to everyones taste, but I certainly liked it and the hotel is flooded with light. Breakfast was very good with the usual offerings. We made use of the swimming pool on the 3rd floor in the spa, which was heated and overlooks the Rhine. We found the staff to be extremely friendly, helpful and knowledgeable throughout. We used Uber to get around Bonn, although the service only recently came to Bonn and the service was a bit patchy. Be prepared to wait for longer than you would in bigger cities such as Berlin. We did not try any of the restaurants at the Kameha as we were only there for a short while. If anyone needs a recommendation, try Oscar in der Remise, about 8 minutes away by car. For travellers to Germany, bring cash as the country is still behind the times and a bit analogue. The lovely Rheinlust beer garden about 10mins drive away does not accept any form of credit cards. Some taxi drivers also struggled with electronic payment. Looking forward to returning to the Kameha

This Marriott is located near the river, with nie walking paths nearby. It is easy to drive to, on the outskirts of the city of Bonn, and very near a metro station. The parking garage is large and easy to navigate. There are no nearby resturants (other than the overpriced one in the hotel)....a Vapianos and one other place, named ”Different” are the next closest at about a 15-20 minute walk away and no grocery stores close enough to easily walk to. This is our second stay here and in both cases Lieferando orders took FOREVR to get to us and involved lost drivers. We saw two other guest parties having similar delivery issues this stay. The front desk staff are very friendly and professional. Check in and out went smoothly. The executive lounge is spacious and recently renovated. Food and drink offerings and service were less than most Marriotts in Germany. There are only peanuts and gummy candies during the day. Plus water (if someone has refilled it, it was empty almost as often as full), coffee and a soda fountain with Pepsi products. Evening cocktail hour adds juices, wines and beer, NO ice brought in for the sodas (we did flag someone down the first night and ask for it, it was brought about half an hour later, but the staff seem so busy we didn't feel comforatble asking again). Lounge staff never greet guests or offer any service, only come to refill food or drinks in the self serve area or bus tables from time to time. Snacks are defintely that, snacks, most Marriott lounges you can make a light meal out of the offerings, not this one (ironic given how little other meal options are nearby). The main offering was soup nightly (plus a VERY small salad and cheses selection and one meat based starter each night). The soup alternated between cauliflower or potato nightly. The gym is large and a highlight of the property. Lots of equipment and all in good shape. Housekeeping is below expectations. Our room was missed one day, dirty glasses (all placed togehter on one dresser) were never removed (there were 14 at the end of the week), lotion not refilled, etc. However the major cleaning was done, and towels were actually left to be reused when we hung them up, which was nice. There was an ice bucket in the room but the only way to get ice was to call for room service. They really need to add an ice machine to the shop area like so many other marriotts in Germany are doing. The bed was confotable and the room fairly well layed out overall. One final gripe: the TVs are enclosed in a wood frame to keep people from plugging a device into them to stream. OK, I am sure too many people damage TVs doing that, BUT this hotel also fails to offer streaming, or log in options diretcly on the TV, etc. Most any good hotel these days finds a way to let you stream your content on the in room TV and lacking that, plus the only channels available being basic German ones, really felt like somthing was missing.
