Hotel Konan

I was able to book a 6970 yen JAL ticket. Obihiro was the perfect choice for my requirements: close to the airport, no car, and hot springs. Hotels near the station were very difficult to book because they were not cost-effective or allowed smoking, but this one was listed in a corner of a pamphlet sent by the tourist association. I called and inquired, and it was an unbelievable price, including hot springs and breakfast. What's more, it was only a 30-minute bus ride from the airport. I made an immediate decision. The hotel is a typical business hotel, but it has everything you need. It's quite a walk to the convenience store and downtown, so I recommend planning your trip while checking the bus timetable. There is a refrigerator, cold water, ice, tea, coffee, disposable chopsticks, coin laundry, Wifi, TV, toothbrush, bath towel, towel, and work clothes. The room is spacious, probably because the toilet and washbasin are shared. Although it says you have to make a reservation for dinner, I went to the city since I was there. There are surprisingly many restaurants around the city. On the way back, a taxi would have cost just one meter, but I decided to walk home. Perhaps because it was a nice season, I was able to get home surprisingly easily. The bath was as good as its reputation suggests, with water that was hard to believe for a city area. I envy the locals who can bathe at the price of a public bath. And the breakfast was delicious, like an extension of home cooking. However, there was a time limit. I was able to hop on a plane and enjoy a weekend getaway. (I recommend buying souvenirs in the city.)
