The front desk staff were courteous, though they told me nothing about any amenities the hotel had to offer.  The building smelled terrible, the carpets were stained, there were cigarette burns on the kitchen counter, the curtain was torn or burned.  One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed at.

After staying at the ESA San Diego-Hotel Circle, we only look for ESA to stay at on our trips. My husband works all over California, but mainly in the San Diego area so we are on the road almost more than at home. And since we never know how long the job will last until the next one, we usually bring a lot of stuff with us. Since finding ESA, we no longer have to bring our own electric skillet and pots and pans, which saves us a lot of space. I love the kitchen and the full size fridge. And I think it's a requirement that the ladies and gents that work the desk are friendly and helpful because they've all gone out of their way to make sure we have what we need. Our room this trip faces the golf course. Cool, you may say but not so much. First there are bushes blocking the actual view PLUS, did you know they mow golf courses every other day, at 5:30 in the morning? Yes they do. But that aside, everything is as expected. Clean room, nice guests, and a clean bbq area complete with umbrella's. The staff is able to answer all my questions, get me whatever I need, and help anyway possible. The king bed was soft  (a little bit too soft for my back however). My only complaint about this ESA is the TV has no guide on it and some of the stations flicker. BUT, the remote has a sleep timer on it which is great for me because I can't go to sleep without some type of noise or sound (other than snoring from my husband). I highly recommend this ESA or any ESA wherever you are going. They will bend over backwards to help you if they can. Oh and another great thing about this ESA is there are a lot of stores just minutes away. My son and I walked to the grocery store, that's how close they are. I'm very thankful for Extended Stay America and I know you will be too if you choose to stay here.

This hotel gets 5 stars from me. The staff makes it 10 stars! The housekeeper Guillermina is am amazing woman! She has this place clean as a whistle and smelling fresh! I love it!. Yhe staff help you in anyway possible. It's great. You can have a room overlooking the golf course or a lovely view of the city. I stay here any chance I get. Management is awesome and very accommodating along with the front desk staff.  Thank you ESA Oceansside. I will be back soon!

so i needed a room, i was coming in late to the oceanside area from calpatria, it was around 1030 pm or so when i booked my room at the oceanside location. i took a quick trip to cvs then promptly drove to the hotel, so as not to aggravate night audit. (i know how frustrating it can be, to try and get paperwork done while customers keep arriving) i arrived around 1050pm and walked to the lobby, a sign saying (i’m helping a customer) was on the desk. the phone began to ring around a quarter till.after waiting till midnight i decided maybe i should call the next closest ESA and see if they can help me. the young lady i spoke to was agast, and put me on hold. a few mins later, the young lady informed me that she had contacted my hotel, and it’s general manager, due to zero communication she then had to contact her District manager whom i can only hope is at least half as competent as the wonderful young lady at the carlsbad ESA, maybe she should be manager. after talking to priceline i came to the conclusion that i was SOL, and i would be cuddling up inside my mdx until morning. it was a bit chilly around 4am but man, do i miss pillow.  i find the entire evening to be even more bitter sweet and ironic to boot; as i had not a few months ago applied for the gm position at that very hotel, to my chagrin i was informed that i didn’t have the experience they were looking for. obviously whoever did make the cut, seems to be less than professional. anyway think you for the pain in my lower back extended stay america of oceanside. acura’s aren’t known for they’re sleeping accommodations,lol.  adding insult to injury, im not going to assume i know the utility bills of that esa, but i do know that if there are over a hundred rooms and everyone is paying 100+ a night+ tax, they can afford to at glassy update the signage on the broken elevator.
