Ryokan Plum Reviews

We really enjoyed our stay at Ryokan Plum. We were welcomed warmly and got a glass of ice tea because it was so hot. Our room had enough space to put our suitcases and move around in comparison with some hotel rooms we stayed in. The bed was really comfortable to sleep in. Every space was really clean and well taken care of. Thank you for the nice stay.

The landlord and staff are very very nice!! We went to see the fireworks festival that day and didn't have time to check in. We came back very late. They called us in advance to arrange the check-in procedures for us. They made many calls to trouble them. Thank you very much! There is a big orange tree at the entrance of the hotel. The room is very beautiful. It is a standard Japanese-style room with a large area. The room at this price and location is very cost-effective. It is very convenient to go to Hakone and Atami. There are no problems except for the shared bathroom and poor sound insulation, which are common problems of Japanese-style rooms. The room I stayed in did not have curtains. I was woken up by the sun very early. If I want to sleep a little longer, I still need to wear an eye mask.

Exit the East Exit of Ofuna Station, and McDonald's is across the street. Turn in and you will see the hotel sign about 100 meters away. Turn right and go in. The room is not big, but clean. There are two self-service machines for check-in and check-out, which is very convenient. There is a drugstore on the left opposite the East Exit of Ofuna Station. The second floor is for cosmetics. It feels cheaper than in Tokyo. For example, lipsticks that are out of stock at Canmake are all available here. I regret buying too little.

The room is very Japanese-style, hygienic and clean, the facilities are complete and the experience is great The store is not open at all times. It depends on the quality of the guests. There are tourists from all over the world. It feels very interesting.

The host's service is very good, and there is also a cute little orange cat (but it is a free-range cat that appears randomly. I was lucky enough to see it. It is very cute and not afraid of people ~ I went to find a friend, and it turned out that my friend and the host also knew each other. What a coincidence! The host is very kind, well-equipped and clean. He prepares souvenir towels for each guest, and provides free bathrobes as pajamas (you can choose the color). There is also a lovely rooftop, which is very suitable for friends who want to experience the hotel.

After experiencing a Japanese-style hotel, I still like Western style. The receptionist was a beautiful woman with a very nice attitude and clear explanations, but she didn't speak Chinese. I couldn't speak English or Japanese, so I used translation software to communicate throughout the process. The bathroom is downstairs, and it's really nice to have a kitchen. It's a bit like a B&B.

This is the first time I encountered a hotel like this. Average. I probably won’t go there again.
