Days Inn by Wyndham Oglesby/ Starved Rock

Staying 1 night, leaving at early morning, everything are fine .

This hotel is a perfect place after a long day on the road. They are very friendly and helpful. Has a full hot waffle breakfast.

Older property but well maintained. The bed was remarkably. The Staff were both friendly and helpful.

The first room I was given had dirty laundry on the chair. The second room I was given had a broken window that was taped that I didn't find until the next morning, but that explained why it was on the cold side.

Th room was clean but there were a couple stains on the sheets but I’m pretty sure they were clean. You could see hair on the mattress through the sheets. See pics. I slept good. Basic room. Bed was comfy.

The room was decent, no complaints there... the last morning someone from the office comes around 10am knocking on the door saying "room service" then I open it to find this guy asking if we were staying or when we were checking out.... i had checked the website already to find the checkout was noon... and 1 pm if you were a certain level of member (which I am)... told him i wasn't sure because of the snow storm that blew in the evening b4... but we had till noon to decide if we were going to see if we could get the room another night... 2 minutes later the phone rings and same huy asking if we were sta longer or leaving. I asked why the internet said noon, and he was knocking on the door at 10am.. he said "it was so the cleaning person wouldn't come knocking on the door to bother us." Which is what he already did.... we decided then that we were going to just go home. We let him know and checked out by 11am

Pool had chunks of broken title in it. Such a safety hazard for anyone stepping in it. I was bit by a bed bug. Woke up to a domestic on my floor and the police came

The pool was in bad shape, there was a leak in the roof and the steps into the pool had been broken by some kids yesterday we were told. The glass in the window of our room was broken and taped together.

I did ok here except for breakfast. There was a couple I didn't know, that came in for breakfast. They had trouble with the waffle maker (which wasn't too good), and a large, older front desk Staff found out they did not have a room there, and he asked them to leave. First it was upsetting. But then. This staff person turned on me, and I was a paying guest. He upset me and embarrassed me greatly. Everything else went ok but that experience at breakfast was awful. The next morning the wind was so terrible, it blew my luggage cart almost to the street. I did appreciate that two staff members came running to help me, because I also had an injured back, chasing the luggage cart. There was some good, some bad.
