Reviews of Toyoko Inn Okayama-eki Nishi-guchi Migi

Great hotel for a short term stay. My room was fine but it was on the third floor so I could hear the nearby trains and some other humming noise, but aside from that, it was fine.

The hotel is minutes away from Okayama Station. As it is close to the rail tracks, you will be able to hear the sound of moving trains, though it didn’t disturb me much. Near the hotel is Hattori Bagel, which I will highly recommend. The breakfast provided was so-so and you might want to consider the bagels instead.

The space for breakfast is too small. Some of the guests have to bring the breakfast up to their rooms. But the taste of food is great! Thanks to kitchen staff , they are very punctual and energetic.

We Had a great time staying at the hotel. Highly recommended for the price. And when we have another tour again i will definitely hoose Toyoko-inn for my convenience. Thank you for the service.

Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was included, and they allowed you to indicate if you were going to have breakfast there the next day on the TV to avoid food waste. Nice sustainable practice. Taste was so-so, but choice was rather limited. Can't expect too much given such a bargain, of course. Location close to JR Okayama Station, so it was convenient. But the cargo trains were quite noisy at late-night and in the early morning. Might not be the best choice for those sensitive to sound. Anyway the overall experience was satisfactory.

It's a good hotel. You can see the trains from the window. My son had a good time with it. There are many restaurants near the hotel. You can enjoy the famous foods at Okayama.

Good location

The facilities, cleanliness and service quality of Toyoko Inn are beyond doubt. However, the hotel is located near the railway, so the noise from the trains is very annoying. I was woken up by the trains early in the morning. I hope the soundproofing equipment can be strengthened to improve the quality of accommodation.

I have stayed at many Toyoko Inns, and this time I had the worst accommodation experience. The main reason is that the hotel is located next to the railway tracks, and there is the sound of trains passing by at night. The staff at the counter do not speak English well, and it will be difficult for non-Japanese speakers to communicate. Another is that when checking in, the hotel will inform you that if you extend your stay, you will only be provided with towel replacement and no cleaning. However, the way towels are provided is to directly "place" large and small towels on the floor, which is somewhat unhygienic. (It is also an affordable hotel, so whether it is communication or sound insulation, there should be better choices)

Turn right at the west exit of Okayama Station and walk for about 10 minutes. The overall cost performance is acceptable. The disadvantage is that it is too close to the Shinkansen, and you can clearly hear the roar of the train from time to time when you sleep at night. For those who have poor sleep quality, I recommend another hotel near the west exit of TOYOKO INN, which is closer to the station and farther from the railway tracks.

The room is very small, but very clean and well-equipped. The room rate of less than 400 also includes breakfast, which is a simple Japanese breakfast and tastes better. The hotel provides toiletries, which can be picked up on the ground floor. There is also a washing machine and dryer. It takes 5-6 minutes to walk to the JR station. Except for the faint sound of trains outside, it is almost perfect and a very good stay experience.

Although I was leaving early in the morning and was unable to use the breakfast service, I was very satisfied with the other services. It is close to the station and has ample parking. I don't like hotel futons, but they provided a blanket rental service and I was able to sleep comfortably. I would like to use it again.
