Reviews of PortoBay Falesia

The hotel's biggest advantage is its location on the best beach, Falesia. The views are picturesque. The hotel itself is small, but the grounds are well-planned, with several spots to enjoy the scenery. It's very beautiful and cozy. I booked a standard room, and they gave me a very old room on the second floor with a view of the parking lot. The room had a strong musty smell, old carpeting, and there were constant renovation noises from the parking area. I have allergies, so staying in such a room was very uncomfortable. Therefore, I had to pay an extra 70 euros for one night to switch to a sea-view room. They gave me a room on the fourth floor, in a different wing. This room was a bit smaller, and there wasn't a strong musty smell, especially with the balcony open, but the sea view definitely made up for everything! The breakfasts are excellent, service is good, and there's yoga and stretching offered throughout the day. There's both an outdoor and an indoor pool. In May, it's still a bit cold, so you can't really swim much. The staff are pleasant and try their best to help with everything.

The Portobay Falecia hit all the right notes with us. It has a central location in the Algarve, so we were able to get to Faro, 7 Hanging Valleys, and other areas within 30 or 40 minutes by car. The daily breakfast buffet was outstanding, with a nice range of foods nicely prepared. Best of all was the two tennis courts (they also have a Padel court). We made good use of the tennis court, and REALLY appreciated that there is a tennis pro attached to the hotel....we had several excellent lessons from Susan Evans Tennis. Between tennis and the fabulous hiking we may even have worked off half of the calories we consumed at the breakfast bar!

Nice hotel but in need of upgrading for prices charged

Overall, a very good hotel! The customer service is excellent, as is the restaurant, and the holiday setting is exactly as pictured. Just be aware that the pillows are too soft, which can lead to a bad night's sleep… I recommend it!

Ah... first off, I feel so regretful. I never knew the southern region of Portugal was this beautiful... I didn't know it at the time, but it turns out it's a famous resort area... haha. I only stayed one night along the route while traveling by rental car... and I really regret it. This hotel certainly played a significant role in that. It is an excellent hotel with a view of the Atlantic Ocean stretching out to the horizon, situated right below a cliff coastline about 6 km long. The facilities were impeccable, and it only takes 30 to 40 minutes by car to Benazil Beach, which I often see on Windows desktop backgrounds. Cleanliness, friendliness, facility management... it is all superb. If I can travel to Spain and Portugal again... I will definitely choose this hotel again. Next time, I plan to stay for about 3 or 4 nights to properly swim and play tennis. ^^ You can find this hotel by searching for the city of 'Albufeira' in Portugal.

Very good infrastructure, but it is clear that the unit needs remodeling to do justice to the Portobay brand, which is a renowned brand. The carpets and wooden elements in the corridors leading to the rooms do not do the hotel any good. But it is clear that the equipment is generally very worn out. However, I will continue to be loyal to this brand because the staff is very well trained and provides good customer service. Best wishes for success

I'm satisfied However, it is difficult to stay without a vehicle. There is a beautiful beach below the hotel. If you travel by car, you can park on the beach.
