Recently renovated, the room was really clean and comfortable. Very close to a path down to the beach, great for little ones.

OMG where do we start, internet does not work, end of story despite their excuses, more than four rooms occupied no internet, reception is a waste of time, they cannot, will not do anything to make things easier, they threaten you with the police if you dare to argue with them, the hotel is a joke, they show you rooms with a sea view, however they do no tell you that these rooms are privately owned and the only room available to anyone who books looks out over scrubland or neighbours gardens, there are builders there who have been there forever renovating rooms on the ground floor, we travel a lot, In all honesty I have NEVER in all of my travels come acorss such an inept bunch of people in all of my life, this could be a lovely hotel with the right management or the right reception staff unfortunaltly you have neither, do this place a favour sell to a company that knows what they are doing, do you not read your trip advisor reports, you only reply to your positive reports which are 1 in about 20, get real and read the rest, they are sending you a message, you are crap, sell the place to someone who can use the location and stop being the pratts that you are, full on the 31st January? dream on. you are a joke suck it up and get real, pictures are of the damp in the room we were given, we were told use this room, leave or we will call the police.

We were very pleased with the room – very spacious and equipped with everything needed for a family with a 5-year-old child. Good breakfast. The location was excellent in terms of distance to the beach, and the pool area was perfect for a quiet afternoon.

The apparments only newly refurbished to a very high standard . Pool area really nice couldn’t fault anything . Staff extremely helpful especially Sergio very professional and helpful young man . Would gladly stay here again . Great access to the beech witch is fantastic overall it’s a great place for a relaxing holid

As soon as we walked into reception we were greeted by friendly and welcoming staff. During our stay all staff members were polite and respectful and were always happy to help. A special mention for Sergio who took care of our luggage on our last day and assisted with any questions we had about the area during our stay. He went out of his way to make us feel welcome. The pool and gardens were well maintained and clean and it was never a problem getting a sun lounger. The beach is located just across the road which made the location very good. Rooms clean, modern and attended to daily.

After coming for our mini-moon last September we decided to rebook and bring along my sister and family who had not before visited portugal. I booked two rooms, one a deluxe room (that we had previously stayed in hence wanting to rebook) at a cost of £213 more than the other standard room we had booked also using their direct website. Upon arrival at 7.30pm we were advised that the room we had booked wasn't available! (They had double booked, but had not contacted us to let us know of the issue). The staff were under trained in how to deal with these situations, making over 10 calls to management/ supervises in what to do. We were offered a standard room which was fine but I questioned the refund of the £213 more it had cost for the deluxe room i had paid for. Yet again staff did not have a clue telling me I would have to come back in the morning as they couldn't deal with it, I went back in the morning and the man was so rude telling me he couldn't deal with it either! After 3 days I was offered 90euros and that's what he said his manager would be willing to give me back, this was not acceptable for a room they had double booked at no fault of my own. It took me all holiday to NOT even a full refund!!! We then asked on our day of departure (as advised to do over the phone before we arrived and when we arrived)if we could keep our room on, we were advised that we could keep it till 2pm free off charge then 10euro for every hour after ans told to go back down at 11am. We went back at 11am to be told no you carnt and you need to be out by 12pm giving us 1 hour to pack up 7 people. I'm so disappointed with the customer service that we experienced, I'm even more disappointed that we recommended this hotel to my family for them to also feel disappointed in the service. It's safe to say that we won't be returning to the hotel again which is a shame as we visit Portugal around 4 times a year, been an independent travel advisor personal experience for recommendation is key......

We understand how frustrating this must have been, especially after specifically booking the deluxe room based on your previous positive experience. In terms of the refund, we apologize for any confusion or delays in addressing this matter. Our records indicate that a total of €218.70, representing the full price difference between the deluxe and standard rooms, was refunded to you. We regret if this was not clearly communicated at the time, and we are reviewing our staff training to improve how such situations are handled to ensure smoother resolutions. Concerning the late checkout, we apologize for any miscommunication. As advised, our policy allows for a complimentary late checkout until 2:00 PM when availability permits, with an additional hourly fee thereafter. Unfortunately, on the day of your departure, we had incoming reservations for the rooms, which required us to adhere to the standard 12:00 PM checkout time to prepare for the next guests. We always aim to verify availability on the morning of departure, and we regret if this process was not clearly conveyed. Please know that guests are welcome to store luggage securely with us and continue enjoying our facilities after checkout. We also apologize for any perception of rudeness from our staff. Your experience does not reflect the level of service we strive to provide, and we are addressing this with our team to ensure more professional and empathetic interactions moving forward. I was pleasantly surprised by the clean, fresh modern rooms, the photos did not do it justice. The staff are extremely pleasant and the location is wow !! Steps from a beautiful beach, Praia Maria Luisa, I will definately return if visiting algarve again

Lovely place, we had 2 bedroom apartment which was nice & clean. Two fair size bedrooms with a one bathroom and balcony. The apartment is in a nice quiet location, with beach just a walk distance but with some 160 stairs which can be tricky in the wet. The staff were great and very friendly.

We stayed in Clube Maria Luisa for 4 nights in Feb 2025. This was a last minute booking and was our first experience of self catering. We have 3 children aged 9, 7 and 3. We had a lovely 2 bedroom apartment and I cannot fault the accommodation at all. Positives; Beach is a 2 minute walk away and is a lovely, clean beach Although self catering, there are options to pay to have breakfast and have lunch. We ordered a couple of pizzas for lunch and they were lovely. Negatives; We were dropped off by our Jet2 coach at the end of the road and was a 5 min walk to the hotel. Not the hotels fault but just be aware that unless you are in an Uber, or private taxi, a bus cannot go down the road to the hotel. Not a problem for us, but if you have mobility issues then I recommend a taxi. Overall it was a lovely break and we enjoyed our time. We have been to Portugal many times and are familiar with the area. With it being February we knew that it was still classed as 'off season' and that not everything would be open. We had rain one day but apart from that it was lovely to see the sunshine!

Wonderful location close to beach. Superb views. Nicely refurbished apartment rooms. We had a 2 bed family room with its own outside patio area overlooking pool. It was amazing . Staff were very friendly especially Sergio. I’d arranged a valentines surprise for my wife and for €34 weeks had rose petals scattered and balloons a cake and sparkling wine it was fantastic

Clube Maria Luísa was a fantastic choice for our trip with another couple. The rooms were spacious and recently renovated, offering some truly lovely views. Their pizzas were surprisingly good—perfect for a laid-back meal after a day by the pool, at the beach, or exploring the city. The location couldn’t be better, with the beach just a 2-minute walk away and two private pools for when we wanted to stay closer to the apartment. The staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. A special thanks to Sérgio for his kindness and hospitality. It’s a great spot for a relaxing and easygoing holiday—I’d happily recommend it and will definitely come back for summer!

Good Time. Great welcome. Place was empty. Had fire simulation and they advised us a day ahead. Kitchen basically equipped. Place was clean. People are very nice and helpful. We would come back there if we travel again in the area.

We stayed for 14 days at the beginning of October 24. The apartment was perfect for our stay. Everything we required for the holiday was provided and the apartment was cleaned thoroughly during our stay. The location of Clube Maria Luisa is perfect for the beach. Recently, we had the pleasure of staying in one of the remodeled apartments and we were delighted! The view is simply stunning, especially at sunset. The snack bar offers a wide variety of delicious options that cater to all tastes. The location is perfect, with the beach just a 2-minute walk away!! The pool is great for a refreshing dip, always clean and well-maintained. The cleanliness of the apartments is impeccable and the staff is extremely attentive and friendly, always ready to help with a smile on their face. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for comfort and quality!

Fantastic Apartment complex. We stayed for a week (2 friends and 2 children). Considering the apartment was very reasonable we weren’t sure what to expect. Rooms were fresh and modern, lots of lovely extra touches (toiletries, coffee machine, washing up liquid and sponge etc) which you don’t always get in other places. The whole place was immaculately presented and house keeping work hard keeping the place clean and fresh. Pool area was lovely, very quiet and always loads of sun beds on offer. On a few occasions we were the only ones there! There was a slight blimp when we arrived. We were greeted by a polite and helpful young man who informed us there had been a mix up and the 2 bed apartment we’d book wasn’t going to be vacated until the following day. In which case for that night we were placed in a 1 bed with sofa bed in lounge. By way of compensation, we were given free breakfast the following day. The apartment was huge and again well appointed. We found the complex and the surrounding areas to be really quiet, we were told this was because it was the start of the season. It was a 10-15 min walk to the main resort which had 10+ restaurants and bars as well as the main beach. There is also a beach 50m away from the apartments, however that is accessed by 100+ steps (not buggy friendly). We got an Uber into Albufera a few times (this ranged from 6-10 euros each way. Although that was enjoyable, we were glad to return to the quieter and more chilled area of Ohlas de Água. Cannot speak highly enough of this complex, can’t wait to return.
