This hotel was the perfect choice for my first trip to the Maldives. The entire island prioritizes environmental protection and is committed to the use of renewable resources. Our butler, Riq, was incredibly professional. Upon check-in, I discovered my phone had fallen into the water and floated away; he immediately called and helped me retrieve it. Later, he even took us snorkeling and took many beautiful photos for us. We stayed for five nights and still felt there was so much more to experience. I'll definitely go again!

Amazing 10 days in paradise. Everything about our stay was top quality. The accommodation, service and food was impeccable and made our stay feel very special. Highly recommended.

This is a review of our second trip to Lamar. It was as fantastic as our visit at the same time last year. Whilst it being low season, the weather remained stunning with only one day with any rain and with the benefit of the place not being full due to the season. It goes without saying that the beach side pool villa (we chose the same as last year) was as immaculate and romantic as last year. Irrespective of the beautiful location, truly superb food and facilities all being deserved of a max 5 star review, the staff are the standout for us. We were treated, as last year, as if we were their only guests. Nothing was too much trouble and their manners impeccable. I did not get everyone’s name who looked after us but everyone was fantastic. From Afrah, our GEM for the second time, Alberto, Noah, Icho (sp?), Sharouw (sp?), Vinod, “Sauce”, Ryan, Giselle and all at SHELL, Juliet, Ansaar and of course all those at the amazing spa. Thank you and look forward to seeing you in 2027 (hopefully)!

We had the most amazing time at Six Senses Laamu and didn’t want to leave. From the excellent hospitality of the surf guides, to the attention to detail of our personal guest host and the care of the kids club leads the entire family was well cared for. We couldn’t have asked for a better holiday and will definitely be back.

We have been for 1 week in Six Senses Laamu and our experience has been absolutely amazing. Since the moment we arrived they assigned us a Guest Experience Manager who took care of showing us the hotel, informing us of the different experiences we could do, booked daily the activities for us as well as the restaurants...and much more. Our was called Vienne and she did an incredible good job, we did not need to take care of anything since she already took care of organizing everything following our tastes and likes. Nearly each day we did the snorkling they organize during the mornings which was very good. They have an excellent selection of restaurants to choose from and a ice cream studio with +50 flavors which you can go any time and get for free. We stayed first in a beach villa and then on an overwater villa (both with pools) and both of them were totally fantastic. Most of all the hotel has a very good vibe with the service being always very friendly and close. If we have the opportunity to go back to Maldives soon, for sure we would choose to return to Six Senses, no doubt!

Our stay at Six Senses Laamu exceeded every expectation. The island was beautiful, the view from our villa (#18) was like a postcard, the food was outstanding, the surfing with Tropic Surf was epic, service was flawless, and our GEM, Riq, was THE BEST. Riq took care of so many details before we even arrived, provided daily activity suggestions, and even pulled off a few unexpected memorable surprises. By the end of our week, Riq felt more like a friend than our host. Six Senses Laamu is a special place and we can't wait to return.

The food was quite exquisite and thoughtfully prepared; it suited our tastes no matter which restaurant we went to. 3. The DEN is a place thoughtfully designed for children; kids have a great time there, and parents feel comfortable leaving their children with them. We hope we can come back soon.

Our stay at Six Senses Laamu was honestly amazing, everything was just perfect. The house reef is incredible. Right by the water villas you can see turtles, sharks, and rays, it feels like you’re swimming in a real-life documentary. Such a special experience. The whole vibe of the hotel is pure relaxation. From the moment you arrive, you instantly slow down, switch off, and just start enjoying life. A huge thank you to our GEM, Victoria, she is truly wonderful. So kind, attentive, and thoughtful. She took care of absolutely everything, and thanks to her we didn’t have to think about anything at all, just relax and enjoy our time. The food was fantastic, everything was delicious, fresh, and with lots of variety. Special thanks to Chef Alberto for the amazing selection and quality of products. And the cheeses… just wow! We also highly recommend Vinod, the sommelier, don’t miss the wine pairing, it’s a great experience and definitely worth it. A special mention to the pancake master, unfortunately I didn’t catch his name, but he created absolutely unforgettable masterpieces every morning. Truly impressive and delicious. And probably the best sign of how much we loved it, we initially planned to stay for just one week, but ended up extending our stay three times! We would absolutely recommend this place, it’s somewhere you’ll definitely want to come back to.

From the moment we arrived at Six Senses we were greeted by a team with genuine warmth and professionalism. Every detail of the resort has been curated thoughtfully, creating an unforgettable experience for us. But what has left us truly blown away was our GEM Viktorriia!!! There’s not enough words to thank her for her truly authentic, intuitive, and deeply caring nature. She didn’t just provide service; she created an experience we’ll remember for a lifetime. She made us feel like we were her only priority and nothing ever seemed too much trouble. She made our anniversary truly a special experience. One we will cherish forever. Anything is possible with Viktoriia. We felt so blessed to have met her and looked forward to seeing her smiling face every day. In fact all interaction with all staff at the resort is handled with such sincerity and attention to detail. We left with beautiful memories and truly cannot wait to come back.

Simply stunning. Loved every minute here. Didn’t want to leave. From staff, food, accommodation and the beautiful island everything was perfect. Pure white clean sands, water villa was stunning and the food was excellent. Can’t wait to return.

Six Senses Lamuu was absolutely amazing! Hands down the best resort that I have ever stayed at! The staff were amazing, friendly, helpful, respectful, and hard working. My guide Masthooq was the coolest!! Such a genuinely positive and kind human! He had the perfect balance if being extremely helpful, while also giving me space to relax and explore. Don’t even get me started on the food! All meals were 10/10. The Tropic Surf surfing guides were world class and great people to surf with! I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in the Maldives. I sure hope that I can make it back some day.

Our stay was nothing short of extraordinary. The resort perfectly balances understated sophistication with a deep commitment to sustainability and nature. The resort is beautifully integrated into the island. Every meal was excellent, creative, and thoughtful—the animal-shaped pancakes were a charming touch! Snorkeling directly from our villa was a daily highlight, and the beaches are more beautiful than any photo can capture. Our diving experiences with Erika were unforgettable; she guided us through vibrant marine life with incredible expertise. Finally, while the entire team was professional and kind, our GEM, Shiunee, was the "cherry on top." Her ability to anticipate our needs with grace and precision elevated our entire stay. Six Senses Laamu is a masterclass in refined simplicity. We left feeling profoundly peaceful and cannot recommend it highly enough.

This was a second time at Six Senses Laamu. We came back 13 years later as we wanted to bring our children this time. What an amazing experience. We were looked after by our amazing GEM, Faudi. He went above and beyond for any request! Even if it meant helping us find our sons stuffed lobster toy. Highly recommend for families. The kids have plenty to do all day long on the island, whether that's at the Den (kids club), snorkelling or an outdoor movie. My kids loved it so much. As a parent, I had plenty of time to relax at the spa and have a cocktail at the pool bar. Food is also amazing! You never go hungry. It has just got better since we went in 2013. Savings our pennies to go back soon!

Six Senses Laamu is an hour's seaplane trip south of Mali and runs an hour later in timezone. It is the only resort in the Atoll, but close to local islands, which gives it a special vibe of its own. On landing you are struck by the beauty of the colours of the sea, sand and abundant trees & vegetation. This is enhanced by the natural materials used in the construction of all the buildings, as you are welcomed and shown around the resort by your Guest Experience Maker (GEM - more on that later). Our accommodation was a Sunset Water Villa on Jetty A, a short cycle, on the comfy bikes with personalised wooden number plates, from all the amenities. The main room is huge, with vaulted ceiling and glass patio windows and door with an interrupted view of the ocean across the house reef. The villa is very private and not overlooked at all. There are sunloungers both on the terrace outside, as well as by the steps down into the water, and a sunken glass table for meals in the room, where you can see sharks, rays, flying fish, turtles and many types of reef fish swimming past as you eat, as unlike other resorts, sea grass has been preserved and the wildlife is abundant. The loo has a glass panel in the floor from where you can likewise spot fish as they swim by and the glass bath in the bathroom is also open to the ocean beneath. There are separate outdoor showers on platforms over the ocean, surrounded by wooden panels for privacy and stairs up to a double day bed on the roof. The metal basins in the changing area behind the bed are mounted in what looks like old leather suitcases which is a nice touch and there are plenty of mirrors and lights, hair dryer, shaver and plug sockets available. There are a further two day beds in this area and two large wardrobes and shelves. There is a sofa and desk in front of the patio windows, where personalised details of restaurant reservations, daily activities and other resort information are available. There are both universal plug and USB sockets at each bedside. There are 5 main restaurants as well as a couple of bars where food is served and an ice-cream kitchen with a staggering selection of dairy and vegan ice creams and sorbets are served for free for most of the day and night. Imaginative menus in the main three restaurants are changed daily and the varied types of food are presented beautifully and cooked expertly by a team of specialist chefs, who often visit your table and take care of any particular needs or preferences you might have. The wine and drinks list is extensive and the friendly sommelier Vinod is expert in finding wines to suit each palette. The service is great in all restaurants and bars and the bar staff make great cocktails. Whilst there are first-class water sports facilities available, we concentrated on snorkelling the amazing house reef, just meters from our villa, and diving with the in-house Deep Blue Divers team.
