Island House Hotel Orange Beach - a DoubleTree by Hilton

This was my first time staying here and I was very impressed. From the warm cookie upon check in and pleasant staff, to the amazing view from the balcony. Also the cafe menu has so many good meal options. The boardwalk beach access is so convenient. My only recommendation is maybe to have a designated smoking area. People smoking from the balcony was my only dislike. I will definitely go back.

The only issue I have with this property is that no beach towels were provided and the beach chair rental at $45. 00 a day is excessive for a resident’s.

At first arrival,we noticed only a small amount of handicapped parking spots, in which there was spaces up next to them with cones blocking them. Then when entering the building there were signs saying they were renovating the rooms. The lobby area was nice and greeted by the friendly staff. The room was clean, with a wonderful view of the gulf, there was a microwave ,small refrigerator and a coffee maker. There was 2 bottles of water by the ice bucket, but only to read the note on the bottles,they were free for exclusive Hilton members, I’m a Hilton member but not elite, so what water would you drink or even make coffee, it might sound cheap, but I went down the street and bought a case of water for 4$, we like to drink water and I wouldn’t recommend the tap water. We later found out that those spots were being kept for the work trucks bringing items in and out of the hotel

This property is lovely. Staff are very nice and hotel is very clean. We stay here every year. I would highly recommend it.

I loved this property! The beach access was great! The beach view was awesome from our room.

The staff were friendly and responsive to requests. The pool was enjoyable and new patio furniture!

Great views. Quiet pool not blasting music. Close to the beach. Excellent staff.

Do not stay at this hotel , the staff are disinterested and there is no ambience
