Very Very small room, never seen a room as small as this one. Nonetheless nicely appointed. Linens were very nice, bed super comfortable. Bathroom recently renovated, modern and clean. Hotel staff very friendly. Overpriced for the size of the room. Continental breakfast was minimal at best. Prepackaged muffins, croissants, fruit cups! Coffee was decent but we basically had to go out to breakfast anyway. The limited parking is a HUGE issue. We checked in around 3:30 and had a spot in the tiny lot, went out to dinner and to a show at Rama. We arrived back at the hotel after midnight in a blinding blizzard only to have nowhere to park. They directed us to an offsite lot, two blocks away-not a big deal unless it is late at night and a blizzard out. And what about guests with limited mobility? The next morning we had to schlep our bags to the offsite parking, around 8 inches of snow had fallen. While cleaning off my car I discovered a $50 parking ticket, so I had to make my way back to the hotel again to present it to them. They said they would take care of it, but I have kept a photo of it just in case as it will go on my license if it's not paid. Upon attempting to exit the unplowed parking lot, the city went by on the street with the plow and a huge windrow blocked me from exiting. As I sat in my car contemplating who to call about my dilemma, a kind Orillia citizen pulled over, asked me if I was blocked in and proceeded to get a shovel out of his trunk and dig me a path out of the parking lot. He was certainly the bright spot to my morning! Would I stay at this hotel again? No, the room was way way too small for my liking, breakfast was a joke and the parking issue was inconvenient.

Fairfield Inn & Suites Orillia

I didn’t know there was a Marriott Fairfield in Orillia so we decided to stay when we travelled to see some friends. It’s absolutely amazing. Breakfast was great the staff was great and the rooms are beautiful. It feels like you are in a high end hotel. I’ve never met such friendly staff who help in everyday. It’s rare to find a good hotel that’s clean and quiet. The price is bang on and they have all sorts of discount codes (CAA, seniors rates, government and more!) great place to stay.

If you are mobility challenged, don't book this hotel through a discount site like booking or priceline. You probably won't get a ground floor room, they can't change it at check in, and there is no elevator. Other than that it was ok. Appropriate for the chain and the price point. The room and breakfast area were super clean. Breakfast was better than anticipated, with bacon and a small omelet. Great amenities in the room-coffee, microwave, fridge, iron/ironing board and a nice wardrobe type closet. My only complaint (besides the second floor room) was that there was only one nightstand. We travel with quite a few electronics and it would be nice to have them bedside. Internet was strong, and the tv cable channels were good. I'm finding that more and more rare as I travel. There's a lot to be said for decent tv when you're on the road! It was easy to find and convenient to food and the ******. Everything is within a 15 minute drive. Lots of free parking on the hotel lot as well. I will likely book again for our ****** trips.

Best Western Plus Mariposa Inn Conference Centre

My Friday night stay in the hotel was probably the worst ever in any hotel. This has been my go to hotel when in Orillia. Staff is fantastic and rooms are clean. On the Friday there was an hockey tournament in Orillia and the hotel was booked with the families and children. ALL RULES and COMMON DECENCY were totally ignored and management did nothing. Drinking (in every hallway), skateboarding and ice cube fights from the ice machine until 1 am. Children from age 3 to 17 allowed to scream and shout unabated. I was moved to the quietest room in the hotel but there was no relief. Cars in the rear parking lot doing donuts and blaring music. Why is this allowed? This is a great hotel with exceptional staff. All of that was negated by management not having a policy regarding tournament weekends. At the very least it should be explained at the time of booking that 90% of the rooms are going to be filled with selfish, crass patrons that have no respect for others.

This is not a 5 star listed hotel ! But I give it 5 stars because it is genuine and it was a pleasure to be a guest here. They deserved this high rating for warmness of staff, a clean and well appointed hotel. Thank you for a great visit.

Although i’ve lived in Canada all my life, I never tried ice fishing. Thanks to good friends, we traveled to Orillia and had a great day in a surprisingly warm and cozy fish hut. Afterwards we headed to Orillia Quality Inn and hoped there would be a restaurant nearby. We were beyond thrilled as we pulled up to see a restaurant and arcade with bowling and bumper cars!!! Orillia Quality Inn set up the perfect evening for all of us (i.e. 3 families with kids ranging from 6-18yrs). We ate (the funnel cake fries are a must try); played pool and video games; but by far the bumper cars were the highlight of the evening! Usually bumper cars kinda sucks because you all get stuck and it’s too hard to drive. The cars can move, the bumpers are big, and the time was long. So much fun!!! Although the hallways were cool, the rooms, water, and swimming pool were warm and comfortable. It actually felt good knowing the rooms and doors were well insulated, especially thinking about the environment. The staff were so friendly, hardworking and helpful. Even my kids noticed how hard the staff worked and the different roles they played! Thank you Orillia Quality Inn! Really was a Quality stay!
