Chateau Mar Beach Resort Newly Renovated

Super chill, clean and safe.. this is one of my favorite "cost conscious" lodging options on the A1A. The property is a bit older but maintained and clean, each experience I have had with the front desk staff has been jovial and pleasant. Staff is easy to communicate with and the property is within walking distance to the 7-11, Pizza Hut, ABC Store and Surf Style shop.

Just spent a week here for Rockville. Very clean and friendly staff. The room is kept at a tepid temperature you can't really control. I recommend bringing a fan. But for a budget hotel it gets 5 stars especially because of the view and ease of getting to the beach. Parking is limited but thats not uncommon for a smal beachfront hotel but they did have a space for everyone to have one spot. The kitchen was stocked and had a small table. The room was a good size and the bathroom was clean. There are 2 chairs and a table outside the room and there’s a wall between you and your neighbor’s doorway, so you get balcony-style privacy right outside your door. It’s perfect for sitting in the provided chairs and watching the sunset. Honestly for the price its a definite stay again.

The staff was awesome. The room and beach access was perfect for us. Our only complaint would be the door key had a low battery.

Everything was great. Only real issue was the power being out for more than 12 hours on a Friday (no fault of the staff)

Room was clean, was able to check in early. Power went out for over 12hrs overnight, door jam on door was busted.

The second day we were there we lost power for more than 13 hours . Everything we had the freezer and fridge ruined .we were not offered any candles or flashlight. Only thing the staff could tell us was nothing it was absolutely joke. I ask what they were doing to compensate for those hours and the groceries lost .said they they were talking to owners only for them to never told us a thing . For $1050 i will not be staying there again i promise you .oh btw we stayed 5 days and house keeping never came once and when i asked about they said they come every 3 days . No extra trash bags in the rooms .

My room had roaches one of the clerks said that they were gonna send the maintenance to spray our room in the morning. She never did. They charged my card $861 05 days before I arrived they were supposed to charge my card when I got there! The guy at the front desk was very intimidating when I asked him if that was normal for them to charge me that early he said yes, and that the owner of the property was from South Africa, which was still absolutely unexcused the housekeeper never came and cleaned our room until the last day that we were there, which was Friday. When I asked the staff about getting charged early about the cockroaches, which I have videos of they have roaches underneath the drawer under the induction board, which is where you cook literally and roaches crawling down the curtain at the front window. The Wi-Fi cut in and out the entire time. The weather was bad. This trip was just very mediocre to be in Daytona for an entire week. It felt like a waste of money and I forgot to mention when sweeping the room, we found a half of a pill that my children I had two small children with me, could’ve picked up and eaten thinking that it was candy. It was a pink pill cut in half.

The staff was very helpful and welcoming (there was only 1). Check in and check out was quick and easy. The television would not come on so my child and I couldn’t drown out the noise of the many kids running up and down the hallway yelling until 10:30 pm.

We always try to get the same room every time we come. Love the new updates they did. Always clean and conveniently located close to restaurants and grocery store.
