Hotel Ristorante Umbria

I chose this hotel for its proximity to the train station (since I didn't go by car) and for the possibility of having breakfast + half board at the restaurant. In the area there is no possibility of finding other restaurants open in the evening, so it is very convenient to be able to take advantage of the substantial and abundant dishes served by Mr. Imolo and the kind waitress. To visit the museums and churches of the beautiful Orvieto, however, it is necessary to take the funicular, which runs every ten minutes and will take you to Piazza Cahen in just two minutes, from which you can start the tourist route that leads to the Cathedral of Orvieto. Alternatively, there are also buses that depart from the same area as the funicular and train station and lead to the heart of Orvieto. Returning to the structure, I must say that fortunately I did not suffer from the suffocating heat of August, perhaps due to the location of the room next to trees pushed by the breeze. In addition, there is a comfortable air conditioner and possibly a fan. What surprised me about my room was the bathroom, really spacious, the only flaw is the shower without a cabin, but bordered only by a curtain, so be careful not to get the whole bathroom wet! Breakfast for my taste was fine, as I don't like to overeat, so a croissant with a few slices of cake (various flavors, from lemon to orange, try it!) Or alternatively toasts, and an espresso was great for me. Cleaning carried out every morning, even in August, reliable staff, anti-covid standards dlligently respected. Reception open until 1am. From Orvieto station, take Viale Gramsci and in 6-7 minutes, after crossing an underpass, you will find the hotel-restaurant in front of you. P.S .: TV in the room and wifi with good / decent line.

Hotel suitable for short stays to visit Orvieto: room a little small but with a good size bathroom. Good breakfast. Lack of free parking in the area, despite being outside the historic center.

Once in Orvieto we were looking for a comfortable tree near the center but with parking and above all with a restaurant. The Umbria hotel was exactly what we wanted. Very clean room, courteous staff and I look forward to an excellent breakfast and an exceptional dinner for us based on a mixed grill. I recommend it to all those who want to enjoy the comforts of the hotel in a familiar and comfortable environment.

To visit Orvieto, we stopped for one night. A few steps from the station and the funicular it is really convenient. With the car loaded, we were able to park safely in the parking lot or agreement. The owner Mr. Imolo and his staff were extremely kind. In the evening we had dinner with them. The quality was very good, large and clean room. Covid rules respected.

Siamo stati una notte in questa struttura, strategica per visitare Orvieto a 2 passi dall'uscita autostradale e dalla funicolare per accedere agevolmente nel centro storico. Parcheggio gratuito (anche se poi il parcheggio è in strada). Location anni 90, qui il tempo si è fermato... pulizia si, ma con qualche ombra. Non è un 3 stelle, anche la colazione è datata, niente di che... considerato tutto quanto esposto il prezzo mi è sembrato un tantino eccessivo, se rapportato anche al fatto che Orvieto non è cara... il personale è iper cortese e gentile, ma purtroppo occorre fare qualcosa in più!
