Hotel Virgilio

We stayed at this hotel for two days. The cleanliness is excellent, every corner is taken care of. The staff is very professional, friendly and also answers every email with precise and helpful instructions. The hotel is located in the historic center of Orvieto, with an unbeatable view and a few steps from the Duomo of Orvieto, one of the most famous cathedrals with a long and rich history. Something very important, if you want to reach the Hotel Virgilio in Orvieto by car, please use Via Soliana, and thus you will avoid getting lost in the narrow and wonderful streets of this city, keep this in mind. Also, when Via Soliana ends in the historic center, just to the left is the public parking. I advise anyone visiting Orvieto to stay at the Hotel Virgilio. Orvieto and its Duomo are a must-see and the Hotel Virgilio gives you the possibility to stay in the middle of history.

Beautiful little hotel right next to the front of the cathedral! Very friendly, efficient, and helpful staff! Lovely marble stairs or an elevator if you prefer. Our room faced the cathedral and we loved the view. The piazza was very quiet once the cathedral closed. The room was charmingly decorated in fresh green and white with hand painted wardrobe and headboard. Very clean. Tall windows with shutters. We had a bathtub, which was most appreciated! Outside there are tables and chairs to sit and look at the cathedral. In the lobby there is also a little sitting area. Finally, the bus that meets the funicular takes passengers to the piazza of the cathedral (Duomo), so it is very easy to reach this hotel with luggage. We loved Orvieto! 💕
