Hotel Forza Osaka Kitahama

Check-in was a breeze. The lobby offers complimentary coffee, hot chocolate, and water. There's a self-service laundry room on the 2nd floor, costing 400 yen for washing (coin-operated only) and 100 yen for drying. The room, though small, was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, with both Japanese and Western options, plus ice cream!

Cleanliness: The bathroom door frame was covered in dust, which was a first for me in a Japanese hotel – quite shocking. Environment: It's right next to Kitahama Station, with a Starbucks, Lawson, and Fresco supermarket downstairs. After 10 PM, there aren't many places to eat. Service: The staff proactively offered luggage storage when they realized I had two bookings, which was very thoughtful. There are free umbrellas at the hotel entrance. Facilities: The bathroom was so comfortable with its separate wet and dry areas, and the bathtub was large and clean. Soaking in it every night after returning to the hotel was incredibly relaxing.

The hotel entrance is a bit hidden, but its height makes it stand out. It offers great value for money. The lobby provides free coffee and water. After using the microwave in the lobby, you can enjoy your bento box in the adjacent dining area. The room is spacious enough to open your luggage, and the bathroom is also large, with a multi-purpose charging cable.

Kitahama is pretty quiet at night. There are only two elevators, so you might have to wait during peak hours, but it's usually not for too long. One early morning, some guests were talking loudly in the hallway, which was annoying. The breakfast selection isn't huge, and the taste is just so-so. They do have an electronic scale to weigh your luggage, which is handy.

This hotel is excellent! Its convenient location, just a few minutes' walk from the subway and Keihan Electric Railway, makes it super easy to explore the city, Kyoto, and Nara. The hotel facilities are modern, and the coffee in the lobby is delicious. Overall, it was a great experience! Plus, Nakanoshima Park right next door is perfect for families with kids.

【Scored a great deal! Osaka hotel prices plummeted, but it was a bit of a bumpy ride 😂】 Initially, I booked a single room for ¥311/night. Out of habit, I checked again right before my trip and suddenly saw the price drop to ¥211! I quickly canceled and rebooked. If I had added the Haruka Express package, the total would have been ¥288.99, still cheaper than the original price – what a steal! However, on arrival day, I somehow missed the Haruka and ended up taking the Keihan Railway. After exiting the station, navigation went completely haywire – Apple Maps and Amap pointed me in random directions, and Google Maps sent me to the apartment building across the street… But all's well that ends well, and I eventually checked in without a hitch. The hotel is small but has everything you need, and most importantly, it's super clean! There are tea bags at the front desk, disposable toiletries available for self-service by the elevator, and a free coffee machine. The tourist tax is ¥200/night, paid at check-in. The life-saver was the bedside charger with 4 ports – it handled my phone, camera, and headphones. There was even a back massager, which was a huge bonus after a day of extensive walking! The location is super convenient, with three convenience stores within a 2-3 minute walk, so late-night snack runs were a breeze. Overall, for ¥211 in Osaka, getting this kind of quality is incredible value for money. I'll definitely come back next time!
