Sarasa Hotel Namba

This time I stayed alone in a twin room, and it was spacious and quiet. The hotel's location is quite good, very close to Nankai Namba Station. I've stayed here many times already. I just hope the breakfast options can vary a bit more each day.

The large room I stayed in last month wasn't available, so I ended up in a slightly smaller room, which felt really cramped. With two beds, it felt even smaller for a single person. I probably wouldn't come back unless I could get a large room. I returned to see if anything had changed since my last visit, but the condition is still the same. Pros: - Close to Nankai Namba, the subway, and Dotonbori. - Close to Kuromon Market and various restaurants. Cons: - No complimentary bottled water in the room. - It's much better to bring your own slippers. - Wi-Fi constantly disconnects (even airline apps like Asiana couldn't run). - The terrace is shared with adjacent rooms. Regarding the terrace, while you'd expect it to be inaccessible from the outside, the handle still turns from the exterior, which feels unsettling. If you don't keep the curtains drawn, there's a real risk of privacy issues. The last photo shows a personal disposable slipper. These are incredibly cheap when bought in bulk... I intentionally checked in later than the designated time after dropping off my luggage (because last time, the room wasn't ready at check-in). This time, they brought my luggage up to the room, which was a service I hadn't experienced before.

The location is superb. Everything is close by. The room is ninja-themed – there are ninja images everywhere, a spot for swords, and a treasure chest. It's quite a large room. We could easily unpack our suitcase and belongings. The fridge didn't work. The air conditioner worked, but I had to put it on sleep mode at night because it was noisy, and it was a bit warm. Housekeeping didn't clean the room. They didn't even take out the trash once in 3 days. There were no 'please clean my room' cards. The hotel has a washing machine and dryer for 200/100 yen, which came in very handy. The vending machine for drinks inside wasn't working, but there's a similar one outside. The room has a kettle, but you need to bring your own coffee and tea. There's a currency exchange machine, but the rates aren't the best. It was quiet in our room on the 12th floor, but one night, some noisy vehicles drove by.

I stayed for two nights during the first weekend of Obon. The staff's service was smooth and friendly. I booked a 'room on arrival' but was pleasantly surprised to get a spacious room. The facilities are simple but mostly complete, so there were no issues. It seems many amenities now cost extra. Before check-in, I received a Google Form from the hotel for pre-information entry, which I filled out and submitted. However, I was asked to write the same information again at check-in, making me wonder what the purpose of that Google Form was.

Luckily, I got a double room and had a comfortable 5-night, 6-day stay with no issues using the services or facilities. The only downside was that the room was a bit dirty.

The location is excellent, as it's only a 10-minute walk to Namba, Nihonbashi, Tsutenkaku, Kizugawa Market, and Kuromon Market. Extremely convenient.

Traveling to Osaka solo and, thankfully, I booked a hotel with amazing service. All the front desk staff were polite, especially the Vietnamese female staff member who was incredibly helpful and gave me lots of great advice. Thank you so much! The breakfast was quite delicious. The hotel's location is also very close to many tourist attractions, which made getting around super convenient. Next time I'm in Osaka, I'll definitely stay here again.
