Toyoko Inn Osaka Tsuruhashi Ekimae

The staff are incredibly polite and always greet guests proactively. I always choose Toyoko Inn when I travel, and it's consistently great – excellent service, facilities, and a fantastic breakfast. The location is superb, right near the subway, shopping streets, and convenience stores. The cleanliness is good too, though I always bring my own sheet to put on the bed. It's my go-to choice when traveling solo.

How do I put it? It doesn't mind that I'm on a budget, and I don't mind that it's a bit old. It's an older hotel, and compared to others, the facilities have that distinctly Tokyo subway station vibe – a bit aged but still clean. Japanese hotels generally maintain a consistent standard, so it's decent. However, there was a faint smell of smoke in the room, and it felt like there was a draft from the floor; if the air conditioning was on, my feet would get cold. The front desk lady was very nice, and the skincare products they provided were good. Overall, for the price, it's really good value for money. Also, Tsuruhashi wasn't as out-of-the-way as I expected; it's actually quite convenient. As soon as you step out of the subway station, you're greeted by the strong aroma of yakiniku! ☺️
