We enjoy our 3-night stay here. Umeda is transport hub and we took super fast train from Kyoto (just 45 mins) and the station exit is close to this hotel. The 5-star hotel is tall, very clean, elegantly decorated and spacious. Room inside is excellent in every aspect. We had a wonderful and open views overlooking the city and the big wheel. There're several restaurants or otherwise many dining choices in the neighborhood. We tried the lunch all-you-can-eat which is nice. Staff ok, English not very good though. The hotel is so kind and generous for giving me a small bunch of flowers on my birthday 💐 Price is unexpectedly good too, about USD205 per night for our triple room and our stay is during the Easter holidays! Overall, recommended with hesitation.

Conclusion I will never stay at ANA Crowne Plaza Osaka again. The room was the smallest I have ever been at and part of the window was blocked by a wall outside the room. The check in and check out was chaos with a huge queue. The hotel is outdated too. The only positive thing regarding this hotel is the club lounge. Review I arrived with the Shinkassen at Osaka station and the hotel is in walking distance from station. The train station is huge, and I was difficult to find the right exit. The hotel is located in a business area, but there are a lot of restaurants, bars and shops in the neighborhood. Not the right area, if you are a turist. I arrived at 2 pm, where I could not get me room even I am an IHG diamond member. Came back after a couple of hours, where there was a huge queue. Check-in took between 45-60 min. It was the same situation, when I should check out. It is not possible to check out in the IHG app. Even I have the highest status in the IHG program, I got the smallest room in the hotel. It was not possible to open my suitcase in the room - i don’t want it on the bed. The window was partly blocked by wall outside the window. The room is very outdated. I had access to the club lounge, where I had a couple of drinks during the evening and breakfast in the morning. The lounges was ok but it was busy.

The new brand hotel of the Palace Hotel opened in July, so I was able to stay at a good price using GoTo. The location is just outside Dojima underground street. It is located in the south of Kita Shinchi, but the service was good and I was able to stay with peace of mind. The corner studio of 32 square meters stayed. Check in will let you choose tomorrow morning: Japanese or Western. I chose Japanese  last time. There are salmon with white rice and some side dishes , which is very good. The location of the hotel is about three or four streets away from the subway station/urban area. The acceptable range can be walked to the nearby large shopping malls , but  after shopping, I have to take a lot of things back to the hotel. It is a bit difficult. There is a Cantonese-speaking staff at the front desk , there is a surprise, thank you for letting me stay in  smoothly. Will come back again .
