Hotels near 南堀江knave in Osaka

We have a pleasant stay with my son at Crystal hotel II.The room was clean but bit small and there’s no enough room for the luggage. Reception is nice but there’s a guy (staff) that is not accomodating. Overall , we love the place. Be back again.

This is one of the largest hotel rooms I have stayed in Japan at this price range. The building is small and relatively narrow, bit the room is extremely spacious. I think there are only two rooms per floor. The heat worked very well. There are big windows for plenty of natural light. The only downside is that the door to the (narrow) balcony cannot be opened so you cant step out. Not sure why. The big PLUS was how the Manager, Maeda-san treated us. He was very courteous and helpful with all our requests. We asked him for advice about where to park and he suggested using the coin park across the way that listed a max rate of 1.800JPY per day. We parked the car and did not move it between Jan 2nd and Jan 5th at about 11:00AM. We were expecting to pay 1,800 x 3 = 5,400 JPY. However I was shocked to see the total charge of nearly 16,500 JPY. Apparently the vehicle must be moved everyday to qualify for that 1,800JPY max rate. It certainly wasn't clear anywhere so I complained to Maeda-san. He spent a lot of time on the phone trying to resolve the issue with the parking place (remote management). Unfortunately he could not do anything but promised to resolve the issue and asked me for my mobile number. I wrote this off as ”Gaijin tax” - for not knowing how to read the small print. To my absolute surprise, more than a month later, Maeda san called me and told me that he had negotiated a refund! He asked for my bank info and the parking place refunded 12,000 JPY. I was totally amazed that he had diligently followed on this issue and convinced the parking company to refund the amount. Thank you Maeda-san for your Omotenashi and genuine hospitality. You can be sure we will stay here again when we are in Osaka. Its a great location and the hospitality is TOPS!

The location is unbeatable, multiple convenience stores around, 7-10min walk to Dotonburi and various stations, lots of restaurants and quiet streets at night time. The hotel also has a cafeteria with free tea, water, melon soda, coca cola and other refreshments that are available 24/7. The room itself is simple but very comfortable and has everything you could need. Rooms are cleaned daily and amenities replenished too, even if you opt out of cleaning by sticking a ”Do not clean” magnet on the door, they then put everything in a bag and hang it on the handle. The staff is mostly professional, speak decent English and the check-in/out process was easy. Where it loses points is due to the following: On one of our big days out exploring, we came back to the hotel at around 8PM. The Front Lobby was filled with a big and disorganised Chinese group/family of 12-16 people who were scattered throughout the lobby. They did not all have a hotel key card, I know this because there was an employee by the escalator using his key on the elevator to send up them to their rooms. So my girlfriend and I got our keys out, got to the front of the other elevator and showed our cards as a way of gesturing if we could go up. The employee rejected us and we got the idea that we had to wait. Now I don't know about you, but I don't see why I need to wait for something that isn't my problem. Their lobby was littered and the tourists were being loud and screaming at eachother from across the room. We were not going to wait. Line them up in front of one elevator and use the other one for people who are entering and exiting, and if no one is entering and exiting, then let them use both elevators. Such unprofessionalism. We decided to leave and go for a walk and kill time at the local convienience store, but it definitely ruined our day and experience with the hotel. Another reason is I asked if they could make a restaurant reservation on my behalf, the bird cafe that I wanted to go to had a registration and booking process that was not friendly for tourists. It required me to write my Japanese Name for some reason, as well as phone number. The hotel said they could not make such reservations for me. I ended up walking in and was lucky it was a weekday and it wasn't as packed. Also be sure to check how many adults is listed on the room you plan to book, I didn't check properly and mine said 1 Adult, even though it fits 2 and the amenities were stocked for 2, this mistake of mine cost me 14,000yen (2000yen a day) because I had my girlfriend with me.

The location is excellent, very close to the metro, many shops, and not far from the bustling namba. The room was functional and clean. There was a microwave downstairs to warm up food. And the view was actually really nice over Osaka. The room is really tiny. I stayed in two other similar hotels in Kyoto and Tokyo and this one was by far the smallest. Im not very big, so it was fine, but someone taller might find it difficult to fit 😅. I'd add a mug in the room but otherwise all the conveniences were there.

In a quiet alley in the midst of hustle and bustle, only 4 minutes away from the subway station, the breakfast is full and the small rice balls are delicious! The overall accommodation experience C P value is high! Will stay again on next visit

Fantastic location - 20 minutes walk south to Shinsaibashi with all the amazing food and little shops. 20 minutes walk north to Umeda with more ‘proper’ restaurants. Service was great - housekeeping and reception desk were fantastic and polite, really helpful with just everything, be it luggage, calling a restaurant to check availability or heating up food from the markets. Room was clean, no issues with anything. Heads-up: bring a power board if there’s more than one traveler due to lack of power outlets in the room - only had one easily accessible.

It is very near to Shinsaibashi and there is Aeon mart and McDonald’s downstairs. The metro station is just located exit no. 2 at the entrance. The staffs are polite and professional (after I had a bad experience with a checkin counter of Kansai Airport, I deeply feel Hearton staffs are so nice, friendly and helpful to tourists) 😭

The environment of the hotel is spacious and clean. The lighting effect is refreshing. The location of the hotel is close to the subway station. Convenient to nearby Shinsaibashi for shopping and dining. It is very convenient to travel to various attractions every day.

The room was great as it is walking distance from shinsaibashi subway station. There are 2 timing of bus shuttle 7:05am and 3:05pm to Kansai International airport. It is not free as it cost 1600 yen per person. It can be purchased at the kiosk machine besides the check in counter. Walking distance to Daimaru where you can get sushi, Ramen, takoyaki etc at basement 1. Quite convenient overall

We stayed to participate in Samsoni. In addition to Samsoni participants, it seems to be a place to stay for Samsoni staff, and the staff 々 was arrived by a large bus at midnight. At first, I decided to use the shuttle bus from Cosmo Square Station, and I decided to stay at this hotel near awaza station where I could go without transfer, but I found that the waiting time for the shuttle bus was half-finished. I changed my itinerary from Universal Studios to the venue by taxi and went from awaza station to the venue via the YUME Saki line. On the way back, I didn't catch a taxi from the venue, so I walked about 45 minutes from the venue to the nearest Sakurajima station of Universal Studios and took a transfer from Sakurajima station to awaza station. This route is a hole? Or, I was really saved by sitting on the train for both round trips. It was a cheap plan for check-in after 23 o'clock, so it was just a good time when the live was finished and headed to the hotel. Before the bath, we launched at the takoyaki tavern ”Tsuji” near the hotel, and the public bath can be used until midnight ２, so we were able to heal the fatigue slowly, the public bath is the best! The tavern's cherry blossom family also had a 々 return to Samasoni and was soaked in the afterglow. ５ floor? Or it was a single non-smoking room, but it was comfortable with everything you need in the compact. I used a large bath at night and the next morning, so I didn't use the bath in the room, but Karan and washlet were new and comfortable. There was a large bath and a washroom, the bathtub was large and the dressing room was clean. There is a security box with a card key in the room. The room had both equipped slippers and disposable slippers, which was clean. There is also a window. The buffet breakfast was free, but I had a lunch schedule, so I thought I would eat lightly, but what! I was glad that there was porridge for light people (consideration for hangover people?) (for foreigners?). The stomach was healed by porridge, yogurt and * baking. There were many side dishes, and in the time zone where there were many users, the side dishes were prepared ２ lanes and were able to take the buffet in ２ rows. Breakfast time also decreased to １ lanes in the latter half. Before check-in, I also had a luggage at the front desk, and I saw other participants in Samasoni painted sunscreen and prepared. The surrounding area is not a busy downtown, but even if you come back tired, you will arrive at the hotel in about 2 minutes walk from awaza station, and there are many convenience stores, so I think it is really convenient. I would like to use it next time I participate in Samasoni in Osaka. Thank you!
