Guesthouse Funayoshi

It was very helpful that the owner of the inn picked me up at the airport. The exterior of the inn is yellow, so even if you get lost while walking around Okada Port, just head for the yellow building and you'll be able to find your way back. It's conveniently located just a one-minute walk from Hinode Beach. The building itself is old, but it's been renovated and is well-maintained and clean. My only complaints about the room were that the futon was small and the pillows were hard. The air freshener smell was also strong. In terms of amenities, an electric kettle in the room would have been great, but since it's a guesthouse, you can't ask for too much. The food was Japanese, mainly seafood, and was delicious both morning and night. The bathroom was like a large household bathtub, and there were two washing machines outside and one dryer. The owner was very knowledgeable and would answer any questions I had about the island. If you asked me if I'd stay again, the answer would be YES!

It felt like a good old-fashioned Showa-era guesthouse. I wanted to enjoy breakfast and dinner at a lodging like that on this trip, so I was satisfied with the fish-focused Japanese cuisine. In the morning, I had a view of Mt. Fuji, and from my room I could see Tokyo Bay. I also enjoyed the unique view of Oshima. The innkeeper was very friendly and chatted with me, creating a great atmosphere. I was able to enjoy a solo trip starting from New Year's. ^ ^ Thank you ♪ This time I traveled in the winter, but I would like to visit Oshima in the summer as well.

The location is great. I recommend staying here with breakfast and dinner included. The genuine, genuine hospitality is satisfying. The people at a guesthouse are the best.

It is conveniently located within walking distance from Okada Port, and there is a parking lot right next to it. Convenient location as there is a restaurant and souvenir shop at Okada Port. Although the single room was small, it was large enough, and although I was concerned that the tatami floor was a little creaky, the ocean was spread out in front of me from the window, and it was kept clean. The shared toilet has a retro feel, but there is no problem with washlets, but there is no air conditioning or heating, so it can get hot in hot weather. For the meal, we had sashimi of rare local fish, and although it wasn't fancy, it was delicious, there was a lot of variety, and there was enough quantity. Shimapo can also be used without any problems. I think it's homey and reasonably priced.
